OK, this is not the time for I told you so... But I told you so. No NATO membership for Ukraine = no guarantees whatsoever against another invasion of russia that will without any doubt happen again. We are supposed to recognize occupied lands as russian and give Putin exactly what he wants. I will quote my soldier friend: "There are barely any Ukrainian men left in Donbas, russia thrown them in the meat grinder and we killed them all." As brutal as this sounds, this will also be the fate of men from occupied regions in the future wars russians start. Poverty, brainwashing, terror and desperation might even make them throw themselves into a meat grinder willingly. Russians have been loud and proud about their view of Ukrainians as mobilization resource for future military expansion and, I apologize to women reading this, a breeding ground. Trump is now helping to build that future. Russia, despite their big talk, never wanted a conflict with the US, they wanted the US weakened, isolationist, corrupt and to abandon their allies, primarily in Europe. That is exactly what they got with Trump. Russia couldn't win this war conventionally, so it was clear that their aim shifted to win it politically. If they manage to also get AfD to win in Germany (which Elon/Trump push for like mad), then they will also dismantle Germany's assistance and power in EU and help to Ukraine. Dropping both biggest players off their playground. The absolute catastrophe Americans caused in the world by electing Trump will show itself, unless this plan will be somehow stopped. Unfortunately, Americans will not be the ones to suffer the consequences of their actions for a very long time, at least not like we will. Which, with their absolute lack of empathy, will be just fine with them. Maybe the prices getting higher and minor inconveniences to their comfort will get them slightly miffed, but that's about it. Unless something huge happens, but I think it's unlikely. Last thing, Trump never saw Ukraine as an ally or even an independent country. Hell, he barely sees Canada as one. He would always have negotiated without us and with zero fucks given about our interest. I have no idea why is this a suprise for some. He hasn't t even callen russia an aggressor and invader once. At least, I don't remember it. His view of us is exactly the same as russia's. Just as russia always claimed they will negotiate with "big boys" aka the USA and China, Trump has the same "spheres of influence" mentality. Russia wants nothing more than to be treated as "the big guy" and the return of that hegemony in the region. That has always been Putin's biggest dream. Bottom line: this is exactly what I expected in every way and it's not even a betrayal, the origin of the word is "bitrayen" - mislead, deceive. Trump mislead nobody. He is doing exactly what his words suggested he will do. That was long but... My nation's fate is on the line. And the world's. Bottom line 2: Our only hope is that there is still some dignity left in Europe at least. And their politicians will still support us, or better yet, double their support, knowing that the US is untrustworthy, unreliable, treacherous entity, that would rather ally with russia (Europe's biggest threat). There has been some valid effort in Europe to get off russian gas and be independent. So, we shall see. Unfortunately, Europe sold us for money before. And they may do so again. And that would be as good as sending off application for WW3 in a decade or two. But I hope Trump forbidding 2.5 trans athleats from partaking in women sports was worth it for Americans in owning the libs department.
