A huge thank you to @Matt_Leray and @rj49158556 for highlighting the potential impacts of deep sea mining in this nice perspective paper. The deep sea serves as an amazing reservoir of biodiversity in our global ocean, but is increasingly at risk of large-scale mining impacts.
