His tenure was cut short by the military coup of 31 December 1983, which brought an end to the Second Republic. Dr. C.C. Onoh was also a prominent businessman, lawyer, and politician. Beyond politics, he is remembered as the father of Bianca Onoh, who later married Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, making Onoh the father-in-law of the former Biafran leader. The photograph reflects a period when Enugu served as the capital of the old Anambra State before the creation of Enugu State in 1991. It also captures a significant moment in Nigeria's democratic history, just months before military rule returned following the coup led by Major General Muhammadu Buhari. Today, both Alex Ekwueme and C.C. Onoh are remembered for their contributions to Nigeria's political development.
