Jos, there was nothing dishonest in my post and it was never intended to expose you or make anything between us public.
Your statement only confirms the scenario I proposed but with one addition, you are admitting that you’ve done this to me.
I didn’t mention you because you’re my brother and in spite of how hurt I am by what you’ve done I never called you out publicly, as I would to any other person because what you did truly is wrong and hurtful, but you’re still my brother and it seems I care more about you than you do for me. As I told you many times, I would never cut ties with you publicly because we disagreed on political things or people who hated you criticised me for our friendship and association. I would tell those people get bent, and you know I would. But you caved to the outrage mob and threw your own brother to the wind.
Regarding the post, nearly everyone thought I was talking about other people who’ve done similar things and anyone who thought it was about you could have only guessed. This was not targeted towards you or an attack but now you want to make this public.

Question regarding cancel culture⬇️ Pretend you’re a public figure and hated for being an anti-woke conservative causing a friend who is also a public figure and disagree with those views to disassociate with you, but only to the public and they want to maintain the friendship in private while avoiding all public association. They will not mention you in public except to condemn your views. They will not appear with you in any collaborative appearance or let you in or around their business but want to communicate or spend time with you in private where they are convinced they have done nothing wrong and this was a necessary action to protect their business and employees. Stuff like this has happened to me, the most prominent one being when Matt Easton cut all ties with me, but I'm interested in how you would react. The two main responses are: 1. Yes, it's fair and you would let them do this to protect them from any possible hate for associating with you, even if it's small. 2. No, it's cowardly and hypocritical and you would hold them to their standard that if you are not good enough to associate with publicly then you will not let them associate with you privately.
