Second, I know @LauraLoomer and she would never do something like this because she doesn’t have to. When I’ve seen her out, these situations happened the other way around – male fans often get too friendly with her. And instead of making up stories and posting selfies, Laura handles herself professionally. This is yet another tasteless hit job and nobody believes it.

Jazz Cathcart, a pastor from Asheville, NC, sends his daughter to private school because the public school district where he lives allows boys to use the girls’ bathroom. But many of his congregants do not have the resources to put their children in private schools, and they are concerned for their daughters' safety. Day 2 of reviewing CHCCS’s libraries: my team found I Am Max, a book that claims babies can be transgender and teaches children how they can change their name at school without notifying their parents. This book is available at McDougle and Morris Grove Elementary. #ncpol

Despite CHCCS’s constant declaration that they’re “complying” with SB49, my team has discovered that their elementary library has a book called “Grandpas Pride.” A book with BDSM men kissing and drag-shows. My team is actively reviewing their entire library system. #ncpol

Mike Clampitt was my friend, a colleague, and a true patriot. For him, public service was both a calling and a duty, from his years as a fire captain to his time in the General Assembly. He loved the people he served and cared deeply about the issues that mattered most to his constituents in Western North Carolina. He faced cancer with the same courage that defined his life, carrying himself with strength and grounding himself in his unwavering faith in God every step of the way. On behalf of the entire North Carolina House of Representatives, we will miss him dearly. My prayers are with all who knew and loved him. May they find comfort in knowing Mike is with his Savior today.
