@ErnstKummer I’m not that creative.
But I’ll I think this is a great idea.
Maybe I’ll create a new logo

Day 196 of posting Somnia logo until $SOMI hits $20.
Crypto is full of noise.
Price moves.
Hot takes.
New narratives every week.
The real edge has always been in spotting signals early. Not what’s trending pay attention to what’s quietly growing.
More activity.
More participation.
More builders showing up.
That’s the kind of signal I pay attention to.
Lately, that’s what I’ve been seeing around Somnia.
While most people are focused on noise some ecosystems are just steadily building underneath.
That’s usually how the real moves start.
Believe in $SOMI thing

@janenb @RebelMajority @Heccles94 I feel I'm sufficiently literate on Germany at least. There's certainly also folks mourning the assimilation of into the West in 89. But that's besides the point. I'm not defending any other system. I'm saying we can't A/B test against some past without capitalist colonialism.
English

By all means. Do explain the differences between East and West Germany and North and South Korea. Name all of the people who “escaped” to East Germany. I’ll wait. On the other hand, over 600 people (we know of) died trying to leave East Germany. Died trying to find freedom, food, and yes, vastly better living conditions. Literally a living laboratory as are the Koreas. A living laboratory which you claim doesn’t exist. So, you are illiterate when it comes to history.
Capitalism is the ONLY economic system based on freedom (self interest) that leads to true technological innovation. Non-capitalist countries have typically stolen data and info, copied, modified, and built on what they stole.

English

@RebelMajority @janenb @Heccles94 Again, it might be really fun to rally around the flag of capitalism - often motivated by those who attack it defending systems that have a demonstrably bad track record. But other systems being bad is not really an argument for capitalism being the driver of tech innovation.
English

@ErnstKummer @janenb @Heccles94 You know what is testable? IQ.
And yours appears to be room temperature.
English

@janenb @RebelMajority @Heccles94 I'm saying it's not testable.
There was technological innovation and reduction of poverty DURING capitalism and predominantly in Western civilization. This gives a strong hint at where it comes from. One which we can't confirm. No benefit in fanboying capitalism beyond that.
English

@ErnstKummer @RebelMajority @Heccles94 Good grief. Where do you think the wealth and innovation to create technology come from? Capitalism and Western Civilization.
English

@RebelMajority @Heccles94 Well those were under colonial influence, we can't really factor that out.
Capitalism by itself doesn't improv poverty, it's related to technologies and such. And then the question is whether capitalism is really what helps development of such conditions. We can just guess.
English

@ErnstKummer @Heccles94 Disagree strongly.

I could go on.

@Bmac0507 In what sense does the sentence apply here?
(There's two players here and two are aligned.)

@szilagyipal @Simeon_Cps I think the point is that ASML famously didn't for many years adjust their price, despite developing a more capable product and having no competition.
So one reading is - US companies ofc already did.
That said, I doubt the ASML proceeds would make such any real difference.
English

@Simeon_Cps But how would you treat if us tech companies would do the same to all European customers?
English

@RebelMajority @Heccles94 The debate is fruitless on either side. We can't A/B test the last 200++ years against how it would have been if the capitalist colonial empires did something else.
English

@GodsBurnt Okay, but certainly it wouldn't be free.
To assume anything else would be naive.
It would be buying power from Musk's side.
