Espresso Korea

Congrats to our partner @LitecoinVM on its testnet launch. LitVM is noteworthy because it plans to bridge to Litecoin & Ethereum, highlighting Espresso's agnosticism to L2 architecture. Before Espresso, LitVM would finalize on Ethereum or Litecoin (both slow), meaning every tx (even ones involving the other L1) would be stuck waiting. With Espresso, LitVM gets real-time finality on its entire transaction log regardless of where it ultimately settles assets. The takeaway: Finality and bridge settlement are orthogonal. Chains can get finality from Espresso while maintaining trustless bridges to any other chains.

The question at @blockworksDAS wasn't whether institutions are coming onchain. They are. The question was what infrastructure is ready for them. We came with an answer. Espresso was one of the top 7 most-discussed protocols at the event, where @benafisch & @ellierdavidson demoed a crosschain collateral management system with @awscloud that reprices millions of positions every 0.3s and triggers crosschain margin calls settling within seconds. Ben then joined @The_DTCC, @BNBCHAIN, @Nethermind on stage to discuss building the institutional digital asset stack and how Espresso's infrastructure layer enables real-time coordination across chains. Fragmentation is one of the biggest barriers to institutional adoption. Real-time interoperability is the fix. That's what Espresso is built for.
