🔴 @Qantas just unveiled its first A350 1000ULR in Toulouse and confirmed Sydney to London nonstop launches in October 2027, with tickets going on sale in February 2027. This will be the world's longest flight, edging past Singapore Airlines' Singapore JFK route at around 17000km and cutting up to four hours versus today's one stop options. Quite the bookend to the old Kangaroo Route, which needed seven stops back in 1947. The jet itself is purpose built for the job, a 20000 liter extra fuel tank, 238 seats across four classes including First and Business suites, plus a Wellness Zone to fight jetlag on flights pushing past 20 hours. Pilot training is already underway on Australia's first A350 sim, with crews also training alongside British Airways and Cathay Pacific.
