So for 5 years Essential Energy have been sending me letters to say access is blocked to read electricity meter. When I email to say there is an alternative route, just ring, they reply they haven’t got time to ring everyone. And round we go again….

@essentialenergy I can’t DM apparently. The website says power off until 3pm. Either way too late for me to have organised alternative workspace for the day. Not sure why not notified - lived here for 6 yrs.

Gotta luv “communication” in rural NSW…. No notification of planned electricity outage from @essentialenergy I understand repairs needed but @ least let residents know (esp as I was supposed to be working from home today)! On bck of flooding impacting work this is unhelpful!

@BlackDouglas I can see a planned outage for the Silverton area at that time on 04.02.2025 - Our field staff will make a decision whether to go ahead with the outage or not on the morning of the outage.

I just tried to send you a direct message, but I was denied because I am not a verified (paying) user! The planned outage for Broken Hill South is between 8.30 AM and 1.30 PM on the 4.2.25. The temperature predicted is 38C.

Hi @originhelp in the last 40 minutes I’ve got a power outage. I’m in Parkes NSW 2870. I’ve phoned it in and I have a reference number from Essential Energy. I did call your outage number and it redirected me. I heard cracking and a small noise outside at the power lines.
