And the 12th recipient of the MikeJY Holo Cat Shield Pin and 12th member of the #HallOfVeeFam is..... @Rossmonkey95 !!! Where do I start with Ross? So many of the things I know about Ross are unknown to so many in the community because his kindness never seeks attention. I have seen Ross do some of the most selfless acts imaginable while seeking nothing more than bringing joy to someone. Ross started out like almost all of us, a huge fan of @garyvee who got into @veefriends early. I initially knew him as LSUTiger in the discord and Twitter and his passion and joy for the brand literally boomed off my screen whenever I saw him in the chat. As time went on, Ross’ passion for the brand grew and he made the decision to leave his current job and move across the country to work for Gary, and how lucky we all are that he made that jump. Ross’ passion and insight as a major holder have been crucial in the ascension of VeeFriends the IP. Having someone like Ross on the team has given me the confidence to make the moves I continue making in this ecosystem. I met Ross at the third VeeCon and our friendship has grown tremendously since then. His acts of kindness and support of community members are far too great to count, but I have to call out a moment at the 2025 National where he showed up and handed me a /50 @Topps Chrome Very Very Very Very Lucky Black Cat. That gesture was beyond generous and really meant the world to me, and not because of the value of the item so much as the incredible gesture. I’m great at giving but terrible at receiving, but Ross found the way to do it that really hit me hard. Ross is truly one of the good ones with one of the best hearts I know. I’m beyond lucky to call him my friend and getting to surprise him in person with this honor will forever be one of my core VF memories. Ross, you are the twelfth member of the #HallOfVeeFam Congratulations!!! 💚🐈‍⬛

I’ve never been to the Texas VeeFam Meetup before. Do people trade their cards and collectibles there? Just not sure if I should pack my bangers or leave them behind.

Yesterday Mark Cuban reposted my work, DM'd me, and told me to keep telling my story. So here it is. I'm a Master Electrician. IBEW Local 369. 15 years pulling wire in Kentucky. Zero coding background. I didn't go to Stanford. I went to trade school. Every week I'd show up to a home where someone just bought a Tesla or a Rivian. And every time, someone had already told them they needed a $3,000-$5,000 panel upgrade to install a charger. 70% of the time? They didn't need it. The math is in the NEC — Section 220.82. Load calculations. But nobody was doing them for homeowners. Electricians upsell. Dealers don't know. And the homeowner just pays. I got angry enough to build something about it. I found @claudeai. No coding experience. I just started talking to it like I'd explain a job to an apprentice. "Here's how load calcs work. Here's the NEC code. Now help me build a tool that does this." 6 months later — @ChargeRight is live. Real software. Stripe payments. PDF reports. NEC 220.82 calculations automated. $12.99 instead of a $500 truck roll. I'm still pulling wire. I still take service calls. I wake up at 5:05 AM for work. But something shifted. Yesterday @vivilinsv published my story as Claude Builder Spotlight #1. Mark Cuban saw it. The Claude community showed up. And for the first time, I felt like this thing I built in my kitchen might actually matter. I'm not a tech founder. I'm a dad who wants to coach little league and be home for dinner. I just happened to build something that helps people. If you're in the trades and thinking about using AI — do it. The barrier isn't technical skill. It's believing you're allowed to try. EVchargeright.com

The people suggesting you tip because you are wealthy are missing the point of your question. In this instance no, absolutely not. The situation it puts you in is uncomfortable, especially for you as familiar face, but that’s the point…let’s guilt the consumer into taking on employee pay. Tip culture is WILD & a systemic issue in the US - other countries think we’re crazy. PAY EMPLOYEES A LIVABLE WAGE. Local example. Major brewery in Boston: pick up a case of (expensive) beer for over $100 & they ask if you want to tip 20/25/30…. Forrrr what? Are you not paying your brewers enough that you want $30 extra from me? Just bake it into the price and pay your damn employees.

Genuine question on a restaurant situation: You walk up to a counter to order. You find your own table and seat yourself. If you order coffee, they hand you a cup and you go fill it up yourself. If you order food, they hand you a buzzer and when it goes off, you go pick it up yourself. The iPad has a “20%, 25%, 30%, Other” tip option, with 20% already preselected. What’s your move?
