@Nicolascole77 Creative work needs to be done with proper systems rather than waiting for supportive factors.

I reject the premise that creative people do "better work" by waiting to be inspired, drinking alcohol, smoking weed, staying up late into the night, etc. There would be higher-quality art in the world if more creatives treated themselves like pro athletes.

@ItsKieranDrew It takes a lot of energy and effort to build from scratch and they definitely deserve all the respect.

People who quit their careers to start again from scratch deserve the most respect. It takes guts to trade status for purpose.

@ItsKieranDrew You don't need to memorize and remember everything you need to work with. There's AI to do that right now. All you have to do is use the knowledge and implement it to get the results.

Never understood why people obsess over content like how to become more intelligent or how to remember everything you read. The time you spend trying to 'learn' these things can be spent actually doing them.

The hardest leadership lesson to internalise: The goal is not to be needed. The goal is to be trusted enough that people do not need you for every decision. The best leaders make themselves replaceable in the day-to-day so they can be irreplaceable in the big moments. Are you building a team that needs you, or one that trusts itself?

@SahilBloom Always share good things about people even when they are not there in that room. Always don't share any negative things during that time. When you want to share negative things or criticize someone, do it alone with them.

Life advice nobody told you: Always default to praise of people who aren't in the room. The way you talk about someone who isn't in the room is one of the loudest signals about the energy you carry. An observation about the most impressive, magnetic people I've been around: They never speak badly about people who aren't there. They never use underhanded or discrediting comments. They glow about them, or they say nothing. If everyone is speaking negatively about someone, it's perfectly reasonable to opt out and say nothing. It shifts the entire power balance of the conversation in your favor. It shows a level of stoic awareness and calm that stands out. We all silently catalogue how others speak about people who aren't in the room, because we know that we may be the topic of that conversation as soon as we leave. Those who default to praise command the room and silently set a standard of safety that everyone else can feed off of.

@Tim_Denning It's all about having the lifestyle and then finding out the profession by which you can earn the required income and still meet that lifestyle and more.

Nobody talks about the loneliness of building something. The decisions made at 11pm with no one to ask. The revenue dip you cannot explain to anyone who has not been there. The feeling of being slightly ahead of where most people can see. Building is not just a professional experience. It is a deeply personal one. The difference between a founder who burns out and one who thrives: The one who burns out believes everything is urgent. The one who thrives has decided what actually matters. Urgency is mostly an illusion created by reactive habits. What is the one non-urgent thing that would change everything if you gave it real attention this week?

@ItsKieranDrew If you are willing to take the risk, try to do new initiatives and stick to it for a long period of time, you are always going to get the results and success.

This truth is both fantastic and f**king terrifying: You can do what you want. It is empowering. You can quit the bad job. Leave the sucky relationship. Move to a new country. But this also means you HAVE to do what you want. Because once the truth is out of the bag, you can’t pop it back in. Every day you exist outside of your wants feels like slapping yourself with your lack of bravery. This is why a lot of people choose to stay blissfully unaware. The worst place to be is stuck halfway: knowing something isn’t right, but not doing anything about it. Truth takes no prisoners.

@ItsKieranDrew One thing that needs to be ensured is that we shouldn't allow AI to become the master. We can accept it as a servant and we have to be the master of it.

The more I speak to people heavily using AI, the less convinced I am. Most of my friends sound completely frazzled. Like they’ve lost the ability to think. And they all admit what they’ve built is OK. Nothing mindblowing. Be skeptical about hype.
