🚨 I NEARLY WITNESSED A TRAGEDY TODAY. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN ANY COMMUNITY. Today on my way to check my cassava farm, I noticed children weeding around a church, and nearby were gob@ra herbicide bottles being used as water containers. I stopped and gently asked the elderly woman in charge if she actually knew the kind of bottle she was using as a water container. She honestly said no—her sister gave it to her and told her it was well washed. She was shocked when she understood the risk, and I asked her again if she could confidently reuse a po!son bottle for drinking water. Immediately she shouted, “God forbid!” The truth is, even when washed thoroughly, residues of can still remain in the plastic. These chemicals are not always removed by soap or boiling water, and they can slowly contaminate whatever is stored inside. That moment really stayed with me… because sometimes people are not careless, they just don’t know even with a clear label on(like the scenario here) This is really about a gap in safety awareness and communication and proper agric waste disposal channels—what looks like a normal, strong container to one person can actually be dangerous if its history is unknown. Stay safe , stay informed, educate others and never recycle agrochemical empty bottles for food/drinking related purposes Dan Paul

Why should this be the standard way of bagging tubers? A farmer does all the work, and a buyer just comes from somewhere and dictates terms. That’s the height of unfairness. Farmers should be properly remunerated for their input, yet I also blame farmers who accept such nonsense. You need to know your worth..buyers need you to survive too. But no, you end up begging them to buy your produce, while many don’t even know their real cost of production. You start failing as a farmer the moment you don’t have a scale in your farm. It irritates me when I see farmers with goods for sale and buyers insisting on per bag, per basket, or per bundle. Why can’t you sell per kg and leave all that for retailers? After all, you know what it cost you to produce. Know your worth.

Some things you have to experience before you truly believe. We did everything right. even carried out a geological survey before drilling the industrial borehole. We got water, but after some time, the borehole dried up. Farm chronicles. Agriculture will humble you, teach you, and force you to adapt. I love challenges but some will overwhelm you. 😂😭

No be say money no dey. But the reason we ask you to only date women who see their income as family income and invest everything to the family, is that, where your money is, that is where your heart will be. Two of you are pulling resources together and two of you are reaping together. You cannot get someone's heart by spending N100m on them. Let them invest their own money, they will water it with their life.

Today is the International Workers' Day Holiday. Yet, Naija Twitter farmers are still on duty. The hustle is the hustle.
