❤️ At the hour of my death, when I’m about to stand before Almighty God…
If I could choose only one person to pray for me, it would be the Blessed Virgin Mary because she is closest to her Son.
This beautiful teaching shows why:
The Angel Gabriel did not say “Hi, Mary.”
He greeted her with the royal salutation reserved for nobility:
“Hail, full of grace!” (Lk 1:28)
Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out:
“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!” (Lk 1:42)
The entire first half of the Hail Mary is Sacred Scripture, word for word.
And the second half:
“Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death” is the Church’s confident cry to the Queen of Heaven and our tender Mother.
Who else would you want interceding for your soul in that moment?
👉🏽Pray the Rosary today.
👉🏽Trust Our Lady.
👉🏽She never abandons her children.

Let all the Mary mockers be put on notice
In the 13th century, during the time when great saints and preachers walked Europe, a chilling story was recorded by the Dominican friar and renowned preacher Étienne de Bourbon.
Near the famous Abbey of Cluny in France lived a wine seller. Day after day, while pouring wine for his customers, he constantly blasphemed the holy name of Jesus Christ. His mouth was so foul that people around him had almost become numb to his sacrilege.
But one day, something changed.
Standing in front of a large crowd of customers, the man raised his voice and swore “by the tongue of the Blessed Virgin Mary” and then, without hesitation, he began to mock and blaspheme the Mother of God herself in the most disrespectful manner.
The words had barely left his lips when divine justice struck.
In an instant, he lost complete control of his tongue. He could no longer speak. Struck down by an invisible force, he collapsed right there in front of everyone and died on the spot.
This terrifying event was not hidden or forgotten. Étienne de Bourbon included it in his collection of exempla (moral stories used in preaching) to warn the faithful about the danger of blaspheming God and His Holy Mother.
The story reminds us of the words of Sacred Scripture:
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” (Galatians 6:7)
And also the wisdom of the Book of Proverbs:
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21)
In our modern world, where disrespect toward sacred things, including the Virgin Mary, has sadly become common in movies, comedy, and social media, this medieval account carries a sobering message. The Mother of God is full of mercy for those who honor her, but she is also the Queen of Heaven, powerful before the throne of her Son.

In her profound visions, Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich revealed a beautiful miracle at the end of the Virgin Mary’s earthly life. As Mary felt death approaching in her house near Ephesus, she made one heartfelt request: that all the Apostles be gathered at her side.
At that moment, the Apostles were scattered across the world—preaching in distant lands from Rome to India. Yet, by divine power, every Apostle (except Thomas) was instantly transported to her side.
Emmerich describes how they suddenly appeared in Mary’s room, still in their travel-worn clothes, kneeling around their spiritual Mother. Mary consoled them, blessed them, and gave her final words of love. The room filled with heavenly light and angelic song as she peacefully fell asleep in the Lord.
Thomas arrived late because he was the farthest away — in India. When the angel brought the summons, he hesitated and continued toward Tartary first. He reached Ephesus only the next day, after her death, and was deeply grieved.
This vision is consistent with the Acts of the Apostles (8:39-40), where Philip was suddenly snatched away by the Spirit and found at Azotus — another clear example of miraculous transportation in Scripture.
This miracle shows God’s tender care for His Mother and the unity of the Church — proving no distance is too great for divine grace.
🙏 “Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.”
