The attack on Christianity in Nigeria is because of the rate of growth of Christianity in the nation. Christianity is growing in Nigeria, not through birthrate but through the conversion of Muslims. The muslim ummah believe this is a threat to Islamic expansion. So they deploy violent jihad to curtail the growth. The plan is to force churches to close down and put fear in Muslims wishing to convert to Christianity.
