An AI slop Carolina Panthers fan page on Facebook made a post claiming a CMPD officer died in a crash because of a drunk driver while volunteering at the Super Bowl. It's not true. It has been shared hundreds of times. Facebook data shows the page is primarily managed out of Vietnam. There are a lot of different pages like this on Facebook just putting out junk for monetization.

@Tweeterpurg @espn @thelhughes She has crashed dozens of times in her career. This fallacy of yours that the only possible cause for her crashing is an injury is ridiculous. Pro athletes push to their limits, and sometimes beyond. And that means crashing out sometimes. It's part of sport.

Senator Markey’s investigation found Ring’s privacy protections only apply to device owners. If you’re a neighbor, a delivery driver, a passerby, you have no rights and no recourse. This tells you everything about Amazon’s actual product. The customer paid for the camera. The customer pays the electricity. The customer pays the $3.99/month subscription. And Amazon gets a surveillance grid that would cost tens of billions to build from scratch, with an AI layer activated by default, and a law enforcement pipeline already connected. They wrapped all of that in a lost puppy commercial because that’s the only version of this story anyone would willingly opt into.
