JUST IN: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani used America’s 250th anniversary to sharply criticize the country, accusing the U.S. of allowing children to go hungry while billionaires and “oligarchs” gain more power. He said America’s wealth was built by working people with “calloused, dirt-streaked hands" while accusing the country of allowing the wealth built by workers to be concentrated in “the soft hands of a precious few.”

What an appalling speech the Mayor of New York delivered for the 250th anniversary of the nation. Sadly, it reflects the view of America propagated for years by Howard Zinn and his like-minded colleagues in the universities and believed by armies of the young: a dark, oppressive country where common people are denigrated by tyrants and oligarchs, where immigrants are treated with contempt, where those with “soft hands” hold the wealth created by those with dirty hands. No sensible person would claim that our country is without flaws, but the relentlessly negative picture painted by Mayor Mamdani is just absurd. And it is the fruit of the Marxism that, sadly, is all the rage today.

The Reflecting Pool arrests by Park Police should terrify everyone. The federal government is fabricating accusations out of thin air simply to protect one man from his own embarrassing failure. There is no sabotage. This is insane.

Multiple people were caught on camera and video interfering with or damaging the Reflecting Pool's new sealant including one yanking a hose from NPS workers clearing algae, and others peeling/cutting the blue liner. Park Police made real arrests (one a former Olympian who admitted touching the detached material). Vandalism probes are ongoing amid visible peeling and prior '86 47' graffiti. The renovation had rushed issues + algae (common post-drain/refill in DC heat), but denying documented tampering to own the 'orange man bad' narrative is peak cope. Facts over conspiracy. The pool problems suck regardless but pretending lawful arrests for actual interference is a Trump plot to 'protect his failure' is low-IQ spin when evidence shows otherwise.

The blue sealant/liner on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool is peeling from the bottom due to adhesion failure after the recent $14M+ renovation. Photos and reports from CNN, USA Today, and others show large flaps detaching naturally, with algae also blooming. The cleanup video depicts workers managing the green water and debris—no evidence of active ripping by vandals in the footage or primary reporting. Some nearby graffiti occurred, but the peeling is a renovation issue.
