He’s not unwelcome in Cannes. Don’t believe the unethical “journalist” In 2016, @KevinSpacey hosted the Amfar gala during Cannes Film Festival. It was also NOT a part of the festival. I don’t recall a single article clarifying that his appearance then was not a part of the film festival. @Craig_Simpson_ wrote me this morning asking me if it wasn’t possible for Kevin to attend this year. As if there was some sort of problem. There wasn’t. We never intended to attend the festival—this year or in 2016. This junior reporter is trying to carve a niche for himself. It’s not his fault. He’s been trained to do whatever it takes to get clicks.

Respectfully, @LisaFranceCNN & @CNN you published a story that says @KevinSpacey denies 'targeting' Guy Pearce. The video is 1:42. Take another look. He doesn't deny that he may have given Guy attention (which 28 years later we now call "targeting"?) Tell me, have you ever been 'targeted' by someone socially? Guy says while working with Spacey he “brushed off” his feelings, dismissing them as “nothing.” He doesn't say that he ever SAID anything to Kevin! Kevin had an Oscar by then and Guy was all too happy to pretend to be interested in Kevin (that's why he 'brushed off' the attention as 'nothing') He needs to accept responsibility for leading Kevin on. Why else did he go visit Kevin a year after he claims this all happened?! Guy is a victim of stupidity. This is NOT complicated.
