I will never argue with a Messi fan because they’re so dumb. They’re using the World Cup to claim Messi is the greatest of all time, yet Pelé won it three times. 😂 If the World Cup is the only thing that determines the GOAT, then why isn’t Pelé considered the greatest? Yet somehow I’m expected to accept that Messi leapfrogged Cristiano Ronaldo based on a seven-game tournament where Argentina, in my view, benefited from favorable decisions along the way.

Pelé, Maradona, and Cristiano Ronaldo earned their legacies through talent and achievements that, in my view, weren’t shaped by institutional favoritism. Messi is undeniably one of the most gifted players ever, but I believe many of his biggest awards and trophies came in circumstances that make them be overshadowed by serious allegations of favoritism or institutional backing. That’s why, despite his talent, nobody ranks him among the top three footballers in history.

So freaking annoying. - The refs and rules seem incredibly arbitrary. Some of them are obviously paid off. Zero trust. -Scoring takes wayyyyyyy too long. -Penalty kicks are asinine. Way too easy. In other words, soccer is a wimpy faux sport. You can hate me for saying this but you know it’s the truth. I’m done with the World Cup. First, they took Portugal from me. Then the USA. When he moved to PSG he only managed 32 goals in three seasons. League 1 is also an easy league if you're playing for Paris - but Messi didn't shine. For the last three years Messi has been playing the equivalent of English non-league football at Inter Miami. He hasn't played with world class players for over three years. As we stand in 2026, Jude Bellingham is a stronger, more skillful player. Kane isn't far behind. Bayern have worked wonders on him. There is every chance we can pull this off tonight - but don't get sucked into the "Messi the football God" garbage. He's an ageing player no longer playing competitive football.
