So a thing happened yesterday and after 6 months of waiting and doctors reports, I have got my retirement on ill health. As from today after 42 yrs in the same school I am no longer employed. I don’t know how to feel, it’s emotional 🥲

@learning_yohei The differences between British and American English are not only found in vocabulary but also grammar and tone. British English tends to be more formal and less direct (which we see as more polite). As Japanese culture values politeness, I think you might prefer British English.
