Back in Osaka, just over 1000 miles. Great service from Bike rental Japan 👏 Daytona boots in the bin , they've served me well 👍

My saga with BMW luggage continues. 2+ years in and I absolutely love my GS1300 but the luggage is utterly crap. No wonder they’re now giving it away free with a new bike 🤬

@hound_al Lithium batteries. If I don’t ride mine for a week or so I have it on a trickle charger. I left the 13 for a few weeks when it was new (like I used to with my 1200) and it was totally dead and the dealer had to recover the battery for me

@EvinsKeith Usually the battery that gives me issues if I don’t ride the bike at least twice a week. The 1300 seems to drain the (tiny) battery much faster than previous GS models.

@Col45398669 This was the top box which has consistently had problems with a sticking lock 🙄

@EvinsKeith I love my Lonerider top box but have BMW panniers.

@lesquoy Was perfect on my 1200 as well. Simple was definitely better. But you can just tell that aside from being more complex the new ones are much poorer quality

@mototingle c130 car brands in China. But the majority of batteries come from 2 suppliers CATL and BYD, similar with motors. Cars are all the same but with different names. Expect massive consolidation in future. Most will disappear. Maybe you’ll still have a warranty maybe not 🤷‍♂️

Jaecoo and Imoda cars. It’s gone from influencer paid love fest ❤️ to the public warning each other that it’s a mugs game buying one. Be surprised if any of the dealers are here in seven years. You can’t get parts for them. I’m such a de-influencer.
