New Euro Banknotes Unveiled: Rivers and Birds Theme Highlights Europe’s Nature and Unity! ECB President @Lagarde unveiled the second theme shortlisted for the future euro banknotes: Rivers and Birds. On the front of the proposed banknotes, the designs show bird and river scenes. Examples include a wallcreeper and a mountain spring on the €5 note, and a kingfisher at a waterfall on the €10 design. On the reverse side, the banknotes feature European institutions, highlighting the fundamental values of the European project. @aidanjuuritanja Suomessa on jopa 300 000 liito-oravaa, mutta yhdenkin havainnon vuoksi tolppiin, joiden hyödystä ei juuri ole näyttöä, käytetään miljoonia. Saisiko Suomessa edes ihminen yhtä kallista – ja mahdollisesti hyödytöntä – hoitoa henkensä pelastamiseksi?

Pettämätöntä logiikkaa virkamiehiltä Vantaalla. Ensin kaadetaan metsä, sitten tajutaan, että alueella on liito-oravia, mikä jälkeen: ”Vantaan kaupungin alueinsinöörin Ville Hottolan mukaan hyppypuita on tulossa alueelle yhteensä 42 kappaletta ja kustannusarvio koko hankkeelle on 470 000 euroa.” Veronmaksajat taas kiittää. 👇

@ir_rkp Jos julkiset koulut rapautetaan kaikkialla, esimerkiksi oppilaaksiottoalueita muuttamalla, Suomessa ei ole enää pakopaikkaa. Ei edes rahalla. Yhdysvalloissa ja monissa muissa maissa myös keskiluokka voi ostaa lapselleen turvallisen ja laadukkaan oppimisympäristön.

There is not a single week without a German company announcing mass layoffs or closures. Germany is in the deepest structural crisis since WWII. Government spending masks the real magnitude It can’t continue forever, governments need taxes from the real economy to keep spending
