@tummy_kisser It was, I don't remember much but I think you could open these little Minecraft worlds up and find different rare and special mobs in them kinda like Pokemon hunting. Then you could use the mons for different things in other settings I believe

@boysaremoe Bad luck in the sense that it (normally) doesn't happen. This was not me defending bedrock in any capacity besides the whole crash thing btw, Java is DEFINITELY on top even if I personally don't like it. Also Microsoft being involved is such a drag I hate dealing with them.

@m1n_un @harristic_ This was the perfect opportunity to finally give the overworld a "source" for gunpowder. I never liked that it was just from creepers and witches. Such an easy quality of life feature. These drops always have such potential and always fall short in one way or another

@themichaeltbh I still definitely thought that an orange block and calcite was the way to go but I guess that just means I'll be building custom springs instead of setting up around existing ones which is fine because more projects keeps me busy

It looks nice in the same way old Roblox builds look nice. Not "better" but also not "worse" in my own eyes. I like both modern and old Minecraft for different reasons.

i think the reason gradients have become so popular even for relatively amateur builders is because using just one type of block is just not as appealing anymore due to the softer contrast and lower saturation so it just looks so much less appealing and lacks depth

usually I don't have "old thing better" opinions but minecraft looked a lot better in beta, like look at the comparison

@themichaeltbh I don't think they are complaining per say, more so complementing the lighting and talking about how the older textures allowed for simpler builds without complex texturing and huge mega builds which I agree with. Modern Minecraft gameplay and content wise is still on top tho ofc
