Unpopular take... I think the new #StarCitizen 3.10 "Arlington" should have it's shotgun side removed. Keep it as an Lever-Action Rifle it's good, but make a smaller shotgun version instead. Alongside a real Hedeby Gunworks 6Shooter for that full YEEHAW experience! 🤠 It's far too powerful to be able to switch from long ranger to near instagib damage at close range on the same weapon without even using extra ammo! Just my take. I'm just not a fan of weapons that have the "Everything" skill check. What you guis think?

@GS_Hudson85 @TheDarkLawTV As odd as the feasibility of the shotgun mode is, I think making it an energy weapon would be weirder. What would the point of the lever action be if the weapon is battery powered and doesn't need to cycle ammunition?

@Shockomega1102 @cia391 Correct, it's 4 ASGM-10s. I know the art is just showing different munitions it could carry, not what it has in one loadout. I will say the perspective of adding Chief does make it look better, but something still looks off about it to me personally. It's not a big deal.

@Excalibur7313 @cia391 Also, the C712 longsword only carries ~4 munitions in addition to its 8 coilguns. They are generally ASGM-10 missiles which are capable of one shotting a seraph. Though, they can be swapped for bombs or other munitions. But it is limited, to my knowledge, to around 4.

@scifi_fan_kat And the terminals still reference the Forerunner Saga. I don't understand why people think the original dialogue is incompatible with 2011-present lore.

@Shockomega1102 @cia391 Yeah, I guess it's just an issue of First Strike's plot requiring the Longsword to be a C709 (unless the reprint this year retcons that). Personally, I still feel like the C712 should still be around 25% larger than what we see in the remake for it to feel more like this.

@Excalibur7313 @cia391 There isn't. That's because its not a C709. The Halcyon class cruiser cannot house and launch the C709 because its insanely huge. The C712 does have a weapons bay in the fuselage. Given that cryopods are going to be smaller than the 4 missiles it holds, could put it there.

@cia391 I'm also not sure how to feel about the swinging canopy. It's certainly more convenient, but I liked it better when it had to be entered from the ramp in the back.

@cia391 It looks nice aside from how tiny it is. They downscaled it too much compared to the Halo 3 and Reach C712. There's no room for it to have picked up survivors in First Strike, and it doesn't look like it can hold much ordnance like it's supposed to.

@Shockomega1102 @cia391 The Campaign Evolved version still looks too small. I don't see how there's room for crew compartment behind the cockpit where the passengers could've stayed or where you'd fit Linda's cryopod.

@Excalibur7313 @cia391 The reach and 3 C712 is actually way too large compared to lore. The models are very much oversized. This one is far more accurate to the C712 which is about the size of a 737. Should be ~16 Spartans long Spartans and wide. It’s pretty much double what it should be in reach.
