Any guesses when we went live with System.Text.Json (upgrading from Newtonsoft.Json) for our entire API serving an insane amount of requests?
The p99 latency speaks for itself. 👀
The best part? It's all open source. 🚀

I've been playing around with @aspnet core validation improvements to @Exceptionless. Using Fluent Validation + @khellang problem details to get front end @sveltejs @typescript classes generated with validation decorators (github.com/typestack/clas…) from @OpenApiSpec. Code is here: github.com/exceptionless/… ... I'm using github.com/acacode/swagge… with customized templates and getting rules into OpenAPI spec using github.com/micro-elements…

All of that to say, @Exceptionless is an amazing library that will help you get a handle on exceptions in your code. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Random OutOfMemory exceptions throwing in one web site since upgrading to .NET 6. Start looking into it. I get a notification from @Exceptionless that they have a new .NET 6 deploy out there. I think we're done investigating the OOM. lol github.com/exceptionless/…

I've learned so much about #JavaScript in past week working on @Exceptionless client trying to implement JSON max depth support. I decided to write a prune function to deep copy & respect max depth... It's turned into so much more due to massive complexity

@PierB Interesting tidbit. Exceptionless does 11.4% of the traffic that StackOverflow does. 🙂
English

StackOverflow handles 6,000 reqs/s for all the StackExchange sites.
99.999% of web apps will not handle even a fraction of that.
Stop thinking you need to handle millions of reqs/s. You're not Amazon, Google, Facebook, or Twitter.

Stack Overflow runs nine (9) on-prem servers to host all its sites, and found that giving SQL 1.5 TB RAM was more effective than caching page fragments with Redis. And it's a monolith 🚀 Awesome interview with @rla4 and @shanselman: hanselminutes.com/847/engineerin…

@ThomasArdal Pick me!! 😁 We are an exception and other types of events reporting app that is open source and free to host on your own while we also provide a hosted version. exceptionless.com

We thought it'd be fun to wire up some event handling with our new #JavaScript client in a #Svelte app. Hope you like it! exceptionless.com/news/2021/2021…

Sometimes, it's not just the event data that matters. It's the event data coupled with who it is impacting and how often. Here's our guide to associating user info to events with Exceptionless's #JavaScript client. exceptionless.com/news/2021/2021…

This was a lot of fun to build. I learned quite a bit about #NPM workspaces which is pretty nice but still needs some work before it completely replaces other tooling. Lots of research to try and get a great tooling experience with #TypeScript with minimal tooling.

Not sure we made a big enough splash about this yet 🌊 We recently release our all-new #JavaScript client, and we think it's pretty awesome. #devtools exceptionless.com/news/2021/2021…
