NET ZERO SCAM - Council plans to bulldoze a precious orchard of 100 year old fruit trees to make way for a £230 million ‘green’ electric busway.
They want to chop down 520 apple, pear & plum trees, including six Bramleys dating back to the 1920s.

9pm Update So at 7.30pm the CEOs office emailed to apologise for what happened. It was a proper apology, not one of those "we are sorry if you were offended" apologies! They are refunding my payment without me having to travel to Surrey, they're donating to Young Minds

On Good Friday I experienced the most awful and humiliating experience in your Hurst Park (Surrey) store. I popped in to pick up groceries on my way to visit friends. I used “scan as you go” as I always do, and paid £75.92 for my groceries, using my Apple Pay.

I am in awe of your self-sacrifice. To screw up the steel industry (plus just about every other heavy industry we once had) with your inane and expensive pursuit of net zero (in cahoots with every other mainstream party) then give up a whole Saturday afternoon to try to fix steel (which you haven’t) really is beyond the call of duty. Don’t forget to do your travel/accommodation/taxi expenses for selflessly coming to London to do your jobs.

The nauseating hypocrisy of E Miliband is jaw-dropping. He and his kind across the political class — Labour, Tory, Lib Dem, SNP — promoted the very energy policies that lumbered Britain with the highest industrial energy costs in the world, making industries like steel uneconomic. They tolerated no dissent from their net zero nonsense even as deindustrialisation gathered pace. And now Miliband has the audacity to pose as the saviour of British steelworkers!
