Excited for this programme on Saturday with @ExeterBach, soloists @samjeancobb and Tim Mirfin, and a new work by composer Peter Nickol!

Such a joy and privilege to conduct @ExeterBach last night in J S Bach’s Christmas Oratorio (Parts 1,2, 3 and 6). Stunning solos as well from @bethpartridge1, Stephen Mills, Juliet Curnow and Julian Rippon and orchestral playing of the highest standard led by Anna Cockroft.

We’re excited for our winter programme around J S Bach’s fabulous Christmas Oratorio. It includes a ‘Come and Sing’ workshop on 26 Nov with Jonathan Peter Kenny, our concert of parts 1,2,3 and 6 on 17 December and a cantata service of Part 4 on 15 January. Check out our website!

We’re very much looking forward to resuming face-to-face rehearsals on Thursday 20 May in line with Step 3 of the government’s roadmap. We’ll be starting with Bach’s St John Passion and can’t wait to begin singing again. 🎶

We're extremely excited to be returning to rehearsals tomorrow for the first time since 12 March 2020. 15 members will be attending in person in a Covid-19 secure venue whilst many more will join in from home through a private live stream! #BringBackMyChoir

1/4 We’re absolutely thrilled that last night’s @DCMS update to the performing arts guidance now permits amateur music groups in England to meet under the same guidelines as professionals!

@ace_national @DCMS @hmtreasury We are in need of additional funding to support our freelance Musical Director and Assistant Musical Director whilst we cannot run rehearsals. However, the £50,000 minimum threshold is far too much for an organisation like us... Do you have any advice?
