This morning, officers from @EastDevonPolice and the @DCP_ProActive team attended an address in #Axminster where it would appear the occupant is starting his own garden centre. He's now enjoying a free stay courtesy of @Exeter_Custody #CommunityPolicing

@KieranNicholl12 @Oxehealth All cells have cameras and every detainee is visited regularly. This system provides an increased level of support, for example during the night when people may be, or appear, asleep alerting us if something is wrong. A brilliant addition to the high level of care we provide

@Exeter_Custody @Oxehealth Isn’t there a camera in each cell which should be constantly monitored? Doesn’t someone come round every few minutes anyway to look through? Why do you need a computer program to see if your own short term prisoners are alive? 🤔🤷‍♂️

Tweet 1 of 4 Police were called to a serious firearms incident in Biddick Drive, in the Keyham area of Plymouth at around 6.10pm today [Thursday 12 August]. Officers and ambulance staff attended.

Tweet 2 of 4 There have been a number of fatalities at the scene and several other casualties are receiving treatment. A critical incident has been declared. The area has been cordoned off and police believe the situation is contained.

Tweet 3 of 4 Road closures are in place so please avoid the area. We are appealing to the public not to speculate or share pictures of the scene on social media or anywhere else.

Another update from @M4ttp4rky here - Beth is still in the PICU (psychiatric intensive care unit) but has now been detained under a section 3 of the MHA which is for 6 months. Sorry it isn’t a more positive news right now..

We absolutely love our #custodynurses or HCPs. They are like gold dust 😍 A critical part of the team We will however be pointing out that HCPs in other custody centres bring in cake 😂

@Exeter_Custody @InspWilson 👍🏻 There’s lots of good stuff about the effects of animals.. On a different note, seem to remember Cornwall had an OT with a mobile sensory room which also went to secure settings to deescalate. There’s even mobile pods now; although tbh staff probably need them more.

@Exeter_Custody in case it’s not crossed your radar yet @InspWilson from Sussex has done a few tweaks to custody (aside from #custodydoggo ) to meet the needs of detainees with ND eg some ear defenders & some custody staff friendly resources.
