Because it’s basically one of the darkest things an airbender can do. Air Nomad philosophy is built on peace, detachment, and respect for life, so suffocating someone by removing the air from their lungs goes directly against everything they stand for. That’s why Zaheer using it was so terrifying he weaponized airbending in a way traditional airbenders never would.

You want me to believe that for years now Peter has been solely dedicated to being Spider-Man 24/7, yet is completely absent from: -An alleged crime lord being elected mayor of New York, who also calls him out on live television. -New York plummeting into the shadow realm. -The wave of the corrupt anti vigilante task force kidnapping countless innocent New York citizens off the streets. -The district wide battle for Hells Kitchen -NYC turning into a literal war zone. …yet the next time we see him he’ll be holding a key to the city for all his great deeds? Like how is this not messy continuity? 😭
