@SyndesiIntl@Quadcarl To a lot of Europeans, Trump is the childish one, the bully trying to get everyone's lunch money.
Also, Afghanistan ended 5 years ago, and took the lives of a lot of young soldiers. Trump's remarks were very disrespectful.
If you want allies, don't treat them like enemies.
To me that's childish. The USA helps out a-lot, and Afghanistan was 25 years ago. I live in the EU and it's common for the big EU member states to bully other members into concessions for a co-ordinated response. I'm also Canadian and provinces bully each other all the time, for a co-ordinated response. The annexation wasn't even a real threat (it was designed to motivate the EU to spend more on defense),
@SyndesiIntl@Quadcarl Yes, but can't blame nations for not being willing to join in a war that wasn't even discussed with them beforehand after being threatened with (partial) annexation, slapped with tariffs and belittled for their efforts in Afghanistan, all in the span of a few months.
NATO has nothing to do with it. NATO isn't being invoked for Ukraine despite the fact that NATO was designed initially to combat Russia, but the principle of NATO allies joining together as individual countries to help is. Understand the point? No one uses Article 5. No one really adheres to NATO agreements, it's a principle that has been used before
@SyndesiIntl@Quadcarl Even if that were true, it still wouldn't be attacks on NATO protected soil. The missile fired at Turkey earlier this month would be, but Turkey hasn't invoked article 5 for that.
@ExitiumNL@Quadcarl You're right, Iran attacking everyone for 50 years doesn't make them the aggressor, the people who had enough and are fighting to end it are the aggressors. It's logic like that which makes that argument useless.
@SyndesiIntl@Quadcarl 1) The fact that Iran responded by attacking US bases doesn't make them the aggressor in the war.
2) NATO's defensive alliance only applies to Europe, Turkey and North America, not to the middle east.

@Eurofedmonarch I think enough Dutch people are aware of the russian crime of MH370. The only ones unaware are a core of the deeply stupid who might vote for him.
@ExitiumNL@PeterSweden7 Right... I meant the Netherlands... land of Libtards.
But most of the Libtard replies here have been from Canada, so that's why you got that.
86% of left-wing voters in Sweden believe the USA isn't a democracy anymore.
52% of right-wing voters in Sweden believe the USA isn't a democracy anymore.
In Sweden, people are very brainwashed.
@gonefishin1948@PeterSweden7 Nope. What you are describing is a representative democracy, where you don't vote on laws but elect representatives to make laws for you
Republic simply means you have an elected president as head of state, instead of for example a king (monarchy) or religious leader (theocracy)
@ExitiumNL@PeterSweden7 Yes, they are elected locally by congressional district or by state. They are elected directly. So they are representatives of the people. That’s where we get the word republic. A democracy is where everyone votes directly on everything.
