#Paleolithic bone and ivory #needles are among the most important innovations our ancestors could invent - ensuring survival during a drastically changing #climate. It‘s anything but ironic that they are reaveled now from #Siberia’s thawing permafrost by #ClimateChange again.

Good question: What do we know about #clothing in the Upper #Paleolithic? - And do these '#venus' figurines help us regarding this question? Well, most of them are not really depicting much garments as they seem to be rather naked. But there are a few noteworthy exceptions ...
