@ExpiredLimes777 Asexual people don't have to also be Aromantic, so while personally I am aroace there are people who have sex as a bonding activity or some other reason with their partner despite lacking the attraction themself.

@MatsuoAkatsu @xylomrphne @safomeART And the entire point of asexuality is to be exclusive, it excludes people who experience sexual attraction. You can call it whatever you want, gatekeeping, bigotry, etc. The fact of the matter is upholding a basic definition is not bigotry, nor will it ever be.

@MatsuoAkatsu @xylomrphne @safomeART Saying asexuality is a spectrum is a lie, end of story, the truth is sexuality itself is the spectrum, and asexuality is one end of that spectrum, the end where no sexual attraction is felt. Anything else would fall under allosexuality or greysexuality.

There are many other labels that already exist for people with varying levels of desire; asexuality is simply not one of them, it is characterized by a specific absence of said attraction.

With the LGBT community being as large as it is, there will obviously be some outliers and people who do not fully understand certain labels, which is a given, however it does not excuse actually erasing labels by making them broad just to be broad.
