@diemitmachenden I’m just saying people got off.
I spoke with someone 30 minutes ago who was on the board. She is just fine.

Navigating the water situation in Paraguay can be a total minefield, but here is the lowdown on staying hydrated without the side effects.
If you aren't digging your own source yet, Gond Wana is the absolute gold standard. It is award-winning for a reason. There are no chemicals, no fluoride, and no additives. It is as close to natural as bottled gets.
However, you have to be careful with the packaging. Not all plastic is created equal. If you are buying Gond Wana, stick to the 20L jugs or the 500ml bottles only. You should definitely avoid the 5L and 10L containers. The plastic quality in those specific sizes is toxic. If you open one, use half, and come back the next day, the chemical fumes are potent. That is leaching you just do not want in your system.
It is still far better than that Dasani Coca-Cola crap though. That stuff is riddled with fluoride and chlorine.
As for tap water, sure, 6.5 million people drink it every day. But if you are located outside the heart of Asuncion where they overdo the chlorine, expect a surprise case of random diarrhea a few times a year.
I have no affiliation here, just giving you the facts. Soon I will finish digging my own 120m deep well for an unlimited supply of fresh mineral water. Why settle for anything less? If a country wants to poison its people, the best way to do it is through the water. Choose yours wisely.

@wander_investor I don’t know how I’m going to sleep tonight knowing that there are loose bottle caps on the streets. Scary

From an online trove of 🇵🇾Paraguayan historical docs prior to War of Triple Alliance: in 1850 Pres Lopez calls for a canal to power a new iron foundry at Ybycui (one of LatAm's 1st!).
19th century #criticalminerals were iron + lime.
(Foundry destroyed in War. The canal today.)

Insane that people consider German an ugly language.
Burping your home sounds so crude.
Lüften is a beautiful word.

I really did not imagine there are entire countries where airing out your home once or twice a day is seen as some sort of revolutionary hippie gimmick. Unless your home is in particularly polluted downtown or industrial area, of course. theconversation.com/house-burping-…

Since there are no thieves and thugs, there are almost no dogs to protect houses.
I can walk peacefully without annoying barking sounds. And no stray dogs at all.

🇨🇴Colombia plans to pull out of the Andean Community (CAN).
CAN is a Supranational Settlement Bloc (SSB), giving mutual rights to residency to citizens of its member countries.
But Colombians will still have the right to settle permanently in the other CAN countries anyway because they are all part of another SSB: Mercosur's Residency Agreement.
CAN is just one example of an SSB within an SSB.
Another is the Nordic Passport Union (NPU) between
🇳🇴Norway,
🇸🇪Sweden,
🇩🇰Denmark,
🇫🇮Finland, and
🇮🇸Iceland.
Those countries are all members of the EU/EEA Settlement Bloc. Even if the EU broke up, they'd still have settlement rights in each others' countries through the NPU.
