This weekend, I went on a road trip to Cholula, and it was such a big contrast with the stressful lifestyle of CDMX. Also, prices are way lower than in CDMX for basically everything. You can rent a huge house for 25k pesos. Perfect for young families.

One of the more complex cases we've worked recently is an executive who had unfortunately due to poor planning been considered a tax resident of three countries. He is an American, who spent over 183 days in Brazil, but his wife and children and primary residence was in Greece. As an American, he is automatically a tax resident of the US no matter where else he is or is not tax resident. In Brazil, he had a permanent visa and spent more than 183 days in Brazil for work, which made him unquestionably a Brazilian tax resident. His wife and children were based and lived in Greece, where he would spend any time he was not in Brazil. No US-Brazil tax treaty and no Greece-Brazil tax treaty. He is relatively well-known and makes a lot of money so on authorities' radars for sure. He attempted to appeal the Greek decision but the facts made it nearly impossible to win. Now, he is not necessarily paying "double tax" in the traditional sense of paying US tax on top of Brazil and Greece (except for a few small items that actually were, but these are rare for most), but the complexity in filing in the correct sequence, justifying and claiming tax credits across three very different jurisdictions, and making sure all forms and declarations are corrects is extremely high and he was exposed to higher level Greek taxation that he didn't want to. complex case and we are considering the options by bucketing into low, medium, and high risk options that will require a pretty significant life change for either him or the family these are the kind of things you msut plan ahead for

I think the gov should promote their national forests a LOT more. It’s all about the beaches and the new museum when it comes to tourism here but has anyone ever hiked or explored this national park that runs through the route of the flowers? It’s beautiful! El Salvador can be known for its hiking, CAMPING, mountain biking.. just an idea!

If you want to live in a colonial mansion with a courtyard this is more affordable than you think. In mountain towns from Mexico to El Salvador you can rent houses like this for $1,000 a month.

@MyLatinLife My city requires a permit for Airbnb's, which involves an inspection from civil protection, registration of the economic activity under an rfc, and commercial liability insurance. The permit itself varies based on use, I think it's around $20,000-$40,000 pesos annual

In mexico there's almost no Airbnb restrictions. Theres no Airbnb license in mexico. If you buy a house in mexico, you can monetize it right away
