T-55 minutes until I hit play on Crimson Desert and begin my Epic Quest... ...to find a cat. I'll name him Mr. Fuzzybottom

The jury is out on Crimson Desert. Turns out I was right. I know, I know... you guys hate when that happens. The consensus so far: • Exploration is the main draw • The game tries to do way too much • Feels like a single-player MMO • Story is trash • Mechanics are convoluted • Takes 8+ hours to even hook you So yeah, this is a very specific niche game. The kind some people will absolutely love… and most will play, think “yeah, that was alright,” and never touch again. And that’s fine. Not every game needs to be perfect to be enjoyable. And not everyone has to like the same things you do.

@WolfheartFPS my plan is to play straight through to unlock the outpost and then assess everything I have learned because I suspect it might be a lot, then invest in stamina, inventory (which I don't believe is skill tree), and see if we have gathering boosts...then pick a direction and wander

Yesterday, I turned 59. In less than 3h, I'll be able to hit play on Crimson Desert. This is my present to me. A game. 3-4 days of uninterrupted play. I need snacks. It should be epic. Goals: Level up and get a cat in game. I will name him Mr. Fluffy: Soul Crusher.
