I think Crimson Desert looks massively better on PC than on PS5 Pro. As we of course would expect from max cinematic graphical settings on PC versus PS5 Pro’s performance mode, using the very low quality denoiser. This is what I see after playing through several full day and night time cycles on both PC and PS5 Pro. Crimson Desert looks the best on Pro during daytime. Here the denoiser has least work to do and here its image quality is not that far from PC. But as soon as the we get out of direct sunlight then PC begins to look generationally better than Pro. Nighttime also looks noticeably darker in HDR on PC then on PS5 Pro. And colors look a bit different.

@VisualFidelity Glad you’re liking it. I’ve already put 10 hours in and I can’t wait to see where it goes next. The exploration is S tier and the combat gets better and better the more you learn.

Crimson Desert | PS5 Pro I was on the fence to buy this game but decided to pick it up and boy am I glad I did. I was up till 2am on a work day. I couldn't put it down. Visuals one of the best...ever. Seriously impressive - amazing natural rtgi, pin sharp, super dense, incredible draw distance in a world that feels alive. My jaw was on the floor. Even if the game was bad, the open world alone is worth experiencing. Can't wait to see more. It looks stunning on the Pro. No glitches or fps issues a few hours in. Gameplay Combat is amazing, I'm truly surprised that people complain about it. It feels improved over AC, Batman Arkham, and Witcher 3. It's fast, responsive, impact feels weighty with alot of depth. The world feels alive with NPCs, animals, and items that are interactive. Story I'm not very far but so far it has my interest more than many other games in this genre. I'm usually quick too skip cutscenes but I find this interesting so far. The voice acting is good, no issues with lip sync as others have blown out of proportion. Controls Totally overblown. It's not as laggy feeling as a Red Dead redemption 2 as others have said. It felt like it was in the first section until I got to the open world and now it feels normal. Is it perfect no, is it clunky I don't think so. Running around, traversing, engaging the environment, combat, switching weapons, managing items, it's been effortless so far I don't see what the issue is. Perhaps it will get more complicated as I level up Summary Only a few hours in but so far this is money well spent. Haven't played an open world game that hooked me so quickly. Best part is it feels new and fresh it's not another AC game.

@VisualFidelity Agree with everything here, besides the overwhelming beauty. Pretty good but prob due to Series X. Love that combat. Might be due to getting the kick so early haha

@AlfredoColladoX Im not seeing any issues with HDR 10. Make sure you calibrate it in the settings. The default peak brightness was low

@alex_de_tampa Exactly how I felt, but after getting it, it doesnt feel abstract. The world and the characters feel very much alive and glued together. I'm not a puzzles type of gamer, so if I run into any tough ones, I can easily find the solution online. I don't think its puzzle heavy.

@VisualFidelity I value your opinion but this game almost has everything I’d want from a game but it looks way too abstract and the the clips I’ve seen of the puzzles has me shying away.

@VisualFidelity me either. leaning strongly against. $70 just to check out the gfx seems a waste. i dont have time or inclination for this shit, getting old. only the best of the best for me. i'll likely just try to get into cyberpunk 2077 again instead. that said, you definitely should lol.
