@S0uthernGe0rdie Madness. His loyalty to them put him there along with the ridiculous signings of Elanga, Wissa and Ramsdale.

If there were any doubt that the bald fraud had no clue, his article has just put the final nail in the coffin for him. Basically Howe needs to play his favourites. #NUFC

@NUFC7890 Worst player I’ve ever watched for the club, regardless of cost. Absolutely terrible.

Sven Botman beat 2 people on the wing yesterday, that’s more than elanga has done for Newcastle. In the 2nd half elanga lost the ball (again) and I’ve never seen SJP groan or jump up in disbelief like that. #NUFC

I keep hearing that there's a player in Anthony Elanga but I don't believe it. I think he is hopeless. Another fortune wasted

👀 Ahead of tomorrows clash against Bournemouth, Eddie Howe has shared an optimistic update regarding Yoane Wissa’s recent form on the training pitch. Despite a challenging debut season at St James’ Park following his £55 million move from Brentford, the striker is finally showing the physical sharpness that prompted the club to secure his signature. Eddie noted that this past week has showcased the best version of Wissa since his arrival, suggesting the player is finally finding his rhythm after a period plagued by injury and a fragmented schedule. The DR Congo international’s tenure in the North East was hampered almost immediately when he suffered a serious posterior cruciate ligament injury shortly after his transfer. This setback delayed his debut until December and limited him to only three goals in 23 appearances. Because of the Magpies' congested fixture list, the coaching staff previously struggled to put Wissa through the rigorous training cycles necessary for him to regain full match fitness. Consequently, Eddie often relied on Anthony Gordon or Will Osula to lead the line while Wissa worked to find his footing. With the schedule now easing to one game per week, the striker has been able to engage in more intensive, structured sessions. Eddie expressed his satisfaction with Wissa's physical progress, though he maintained that a full pre-season remains the key to unlocking the player's true potential. The manager acknowledged that while Wissa has been desperate to prove his worth to the fans, physical limitations had previously acted as a ceiling on his performance. Looking toward the weekend, Wissa faces stiff competition for a spot in the starting eleven. Will Osula is currently in good form after finding the net against Crystal Palace, and Nick Woltemade remains another high-profile option for the attacking rotation. Nevertheless, the positive reports from the training ground suggest that Wissa is closer than ever to playing a significant role as Newcastle enters the final stretch of the Premier League season. #NUFC #NUFCNews #Newcastle #EPL

Eddie’s favourites have been the ones to eat him ultimately. Might not have been the best idea to give freedom of position and tactics to a player only interested in one competition after all eh?

Eddie Howe is reportedly steadfast in his desire to retain Jacob Murphy for the upcoming season, despite the winger’s contract situation, according to Pete O'Rourke. With Murphy’s current deal set to enter its final year this summer, the club faces the looming possibility of losing him for nothing in 2027. This risk is particularly notable given the recent confirmation that Kieran Trippier will depart as a free agent, suggesting a shift in how we manage ageing assets. While many clubs prefer to sell players in the final year of their contracts to recoup a transfer fee, Eddie appears willing to forgo a payout in favour of keeping a player he still considers a vital component of the team. Although Murphy's productivity has dipped significantly since his impressive twenty-goal-contribution campaign last year, his manager’s faith remains unshaken. Eddie Howe views the former Norwich man as an essential piece of the puzzle, valuing the continuity he provides during a period of significant squad overhaul. This trust is reflected in Murphy’s heavy usage this term, as he has already surpassed forty appearances across all competitions. Even though some fans have been vocal in their criticism of the 31-year-old’s recent performances, Eddie Howe remains adamant that Murphy’s experience and reliability are indispensable for the challenges ahead. #NUFC #NUFCNews #Newcastle #EPL

@jimmylad86 @TaylorandPayne Because we have useless shite players like Murphy and Willock. Could have sold them 3/4 times over but they’re still here. He influences who stays. That’s why they’re run into the ground because the same players play all the time.

And then when he has a bad season, regardless of what he's achieved, we demand he gets the sack and hound him out of a job. That's sounds about right doesn't it? #NUFC
Joe Thomlinson@joethomlinson

If Eddie Howe leaves Newcastle, the club should move heaven and earth for Andoni Iraola. Front foot agressive style suits them perfectly, huge potential, gets the best out of every player he works with, constantly punching above his weight... and free.

I don’t think the club want to sell. We would have no right backs left this summer if we did, which doesn’t bother me personally but does lessen the rebuild slightly. Form of Tino has been massively off though but Gordon and Tonali have more of a market.

We’re gonna need a full scale rebuild cos we’ve failed to refresh enough over the last couple seasons. Whereas you look at Villa and they were always moving on squad players at the end of each season

Seeing a fair few of our fans saying Livramento is shite now. Wasn’t long ago we were saying we have two of the best full backs in the league. He’s defo not shite, for me his head is turned and he knows he’s off in the summer. Could say that about a few in this team
