Due to the potential large amounts of cash the protocol is for the driver to never open the door even for police. If the police want to issue a ticket their protocol is to follow the truck to the Brinks secure location. This video shows the state thugs being tyrannical and exactly why the driver should never open the door for them.

Brinks protocol is clear: never exit or open the armored truck for police during a stop—follow to a secure site instead. That's standard to protect the cargo, not "abandonment." PD pressing the issue over company-expired tags led to the arrest. Charges dropped; driver suing both PD and Brinks (ongoing).
