NFT XP System — proposed limits:
◼️Cap XP generation at 3 NFTs per collection (prevents farming). The cap is per-collection, not global — holding 3 OCH + 3 Fugz still counts fully for each, so it rewards genuine collectors without letting anyone farm XP by stacking 20 NFTs from the same collection.
-NFTs idle for 1–2 weeks lose XP eligibility
-Reactivation requires a real trade NFT on OpenSea (transfers don't count)
Daily Streak — proposed expansion:
◼️Voting alone is insufficient to maintain a meaningful streak
◼️Add alternative qualifying actions: on-chain transaction, NFT/token buy/sell, playing a game and completing at least one in-game action
◼️Require qualifying actions every 3 days to keep the streak alive (not necessarily daily)
❗Kills farming without killing holders. Capping at 3 NFTs per collection means whales can't just stack 50 of the same NFT and print XP — but genuine multi-collection holders are fully rewarded.
❗Idle timer creates natural activity. The 7-day expiry isn't a punishment — it's a nudge. If you care about your XP, you make a real trade. That's exactly the on-chain engagement the platform wants.
❗Transfers don't count, trades do. Requiring an actual OpenSea buy/sell to reset the timer filters out wallet shuffling. Only real market participation matters.
❗Diversification is rewarded. 3 OCH + 3 BEARISH + 3 Fugz = 4 500 XP. Holding 9 of the same collection = 1 500 XP. The system quietly pushes holders toward a broader portfolio.
❗Streaks stay meaningful. Adding Swap, Game, and Send/Receive as qualifying actions means streaks reflect genuine daily engagement — not just someone clicking vote from their couch.
The current NFT solution with XP boost percentages is also great — but it would be nice to somehow combine both approaches

From 350K to 150K to 85K to 138K XP on Abstract this week
It's been a rollercoaster for me lately with Abstract XP
What I did differently this week:
- Held all my assets as usual
- $God is up almost 60% which helped a good amount
- Run up as many transactions as I could with Moody Madness Drops/Racing
- Traded Abstract coins on Lute
- Provided LP
- Boosted my Gigaverse ROMs to generate more XP stubs
- Gained the % XP boost from the 7 day upvote streak on Portal
I wish Gigaverse actions were all on chain so it would register more. It's better for Gigaverse player experience that most actions are off chain, but now with the XP changes favoring transactions it actually is a con in that regard.

What goals is Abstract pursuing? The team explicitly says that holders aren’t needed for the blockchain, only activity matters. They decided to remove the XP system, which had generated the most holders. Now they’ve brought back almost the same thing: a person buys just one NFT from each top collection and then earns AFK XP without doing anything, just like before. Do you think that generates real holders? I’m proposing a more advanced system that would drive activity without interfering with actual holders or fans of the collections

@Eyesblinks @AbstractChain rewarding traders over actual long term holders is a terrible idea imo and defeats the whole purpose of what Abstract is trying to do

Some clarification on how the NFT boosts system will work: - Every week we will run a query of the top NFT collections - This will give us 5 collections that we will give a boost to in the FOLLOWING week. That means this week will not give you a boost, but we will show which collections will give a boost for next week. - These collections will be ranked 1-5 based on the onchain metrics we're looking at, the higher the ranking the higher the boost - Users will receive the highest boost they're eligible for, they will not get stacked boosts - Users must own the NFT at the time we query the top collections AND at the time XP is distributed. They cannot simply buy after the top collections are announced. - Everything we're querying for is based off of an internal Dune dashboard that looks primarily at onchain data, so please don't DM me asking why [insert NFT you hold] wasn't eligible. - This system is dynamic and is subject to change based on the feedback we receive

Why random collections? They were chosen by someone on the team, right? These changes mostly benefit those who earn a lot of XP, since even a small boost percentage becomes significant at scale.
I think it would be better to keep XP bonuses for certain NFT collections but add some limits. For example, only up to 3 NFTs per collection should generate XP. Also, to encourage activity, NFTs shouldn’t earn XP if they sit idle for 1 to 2 weeks. You would need to make a real trade on OpenSea, not just a transfer, to reactivate XP.

More real trades and liquidity
Less passive farming and abuse
Healthier, more engaged ecosystem

@ProofOfEly Yeah, I haven’t seen any in-game posts from you like the people who actually do that and get 100k+ XP, so I don’t think your level of involvement is high enough to earn the same XP as those who are really putting in the work

Last week I dropped down from 350K to 85K XP on Abstract
Changes were made to
- Incentivize higher transactions on chain
- Disincentivize farming or holding "rugged/afk" projects who just for XP
Cygaar did come out and say they're taking a look at things so we'll see how it plays out for "holding" projects that are still actively contributing to the ecosystem
I farmed TXs heavily this week and focused on LPing as well, so that should improve my XP.
Any guesses on how much I'll earn tomorrow?

@ProofOfEly I think so, I haven’t checked, but you probably just spammed transactions in the hyped Moody and provided liquidity, nothing more. I might be wrong though

I think TXs are just a small part of the pool, more like an XP multiplier. You need to stay active and make transactions across multiple apps (games). Honestly, I don’t think you’ve been doing that. It’s like going to the gym and only doing one exercise, you need to train everything to get real results

Community talked and @AbstractChain team listened!! People were loosing the streak and the team lowered the streak needed for the bonus.

Portal Streaks have gotten an upgrade. The 5% XP boost will now unlock after 7 days instead of 30, making boosts easier to obtain. Any user who previously obtained a Streak will be given a one time XP bonus as this update rolls out.
