Okaaaay, I don come o🤷 . Yesterday, I told you I was going to explain why Peter Obi and Kwankwaso ended up in NDC, and what really happened behind the scenes 👀 So here’s the simple gist 👇 When it started looking like Atiku Abubakar would become the main candidate in ADC (you know now 😜 Ibadan summit), Peter Obi knew things weren’t going to favour him there 🤔 So he began looking for another option. But not just any option, he wanted strong backing 💰(money). Basically, he was looking for something similar to what happened when Atiku picked Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate, a sitting governor with money, structure, and influence 🏛️ That’s how the Accord Party idea came in 💡(Remember when I posted about Accord Party? They've contacted Adeleke then, but have not had one-on-one meeting with him) Why Accord Party? Because of Governor Adeleke 🕺 Remember, he is their biggest political figure, and being a sitting governor, he had the kind of financial and structural support Obi was looking for(That's the reason why Obi visited Bala Mohammed). Plus, the party itself was seen as a clean slate ✨ So they reached out and even had a meeting with Adeleke in Abuja 🤝 But here’s where things changed 😳 Adeleke made it clear that he and his structure in Osun were already aligned with Bola Ahmed Tinubu 🇳🇬 That immediately shut the door on that plan 🚪❌ For Obi, that was a big setback 😬 No governor backing, no financial muscle, and no control of the party structure, everything he was hoping to gain from Accord Party was gone. At that point, they didn’t really have many strong options left 🤷‍♂️ That’s how NDC became the next move 🔄 But unlike Accord Party, NDC doesn’t have a sitting governor or that same level of structure, so it’s definitely going to be more challenging for them going forward ⚠️ In the end, from this perspective, it looks like the opposition is lost 📉 which works in favour of Tinubu 🏆 Tinubu till 2031 👀🍿 My biggest achievement in 2026 is joining Obidients WhatsApp group. To show how desperate and self-centered PO is: when he joined ADC, he gathered all the political heavyweights in the South East and branded it the Enugu Declaration. But when he decided to ditch ADC at the last minute, he didn’t consult any of those same leaders he had earlier wooed into the party. For him, it’s all about personal ambition, morning, afternoon, and night.
