How To Minister To The Lord Acts 13:2 NKJV: “As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Daniel 7:10 NKJV: “A fiery stream issued And came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, And the books were opened.” And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:18-19). Singing and making melodies in your heart to the Lord is one of the ways to continually stay filled with the Spirit. Oftentimes, the Holy Spirit drops a song in your heart; you could wake up with a particular tune or melody in your spirit. Whenever that happens, don’t suppress it; get in the flow of the Spirit and minister unto the Lord. There’s so much power in music, especially when rendered unto the Lord. It’s one of the spiritual weapons with which we prevail in the fight of faith: read the example of Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25-26. When you face challenges, sing unto the Lord! Sing until faith is stirred in your spirit. Sing with the spirit and sing with the understanding also (1 Corinthiand 14:15) Then, just like the prophet Ezekiel prophesied, the Spirit will stir you up, and set you upon your feet (Ezekiel 2:2). He’ll stir up words in you like, “Greater is He that’s in me, than he that’s in the world.” Before long, you’re “lost” in the Holy Ghost, worshipping and singing in tongues. You can stir up faith from within even now, by singing the right spiritual songs, and the business that was said to be dead will revive. The finances that were down will suddenly receive a supernatural boost! All these and more can happen by the power of the Holy Spirit, if you’d act on the Word; if you’d sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord as the Word instructs. To minister unto the Lord means to serve and give worship directly to God, not for personal benefit but out of reverence and devotion. It involves praising God, offering sincere worship and thanks, studying and confessing His Word, living a life of holiness, and even weeping with intercession for His people and purposes. Ultimately, ministering to the Lord means to give Him the first place in all things. A life of obedience and holiness is a form of spiritual service and worship to God. Romans 12:1 instructs believers to "Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God," which is their true and proper worship. A heart devoted to God seeks to follow his instructions, recognizing that "obedience is better than sacrifice" 1 Samuel 15:22 Ministering to the Lord requires humility, giving him all honor and glory instead of seeking it for oneself. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of the hope without wavering,—For faithful is he that hath promised; 24 And let us attentively consider one another to provoke unto love and noble works,25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together according to the custom of some, but exhorting, and by so much the more as this By as much as ye behold the day drawing near. Hebrews 10:23-25 These Bible verses help us to appreciate and understand how we minister God and Jesus Christ: Regarding the account in Hebrews, Paul calls attention to a vital aspect of true worship: “Let us hold fast the public declaration of our hope without wavering, for he is faithful that promised.” The expression “public declaration” literally means “confession,” and Paul also speaks of “a sacrifice of praise.” This reminds us of the type of sacrifice that men like Abel, Noah, and Abraham offered. We do appreciate that Christians do not offer literal sacrifices—animal or vegetable—but they do have the responsibility to bear witness to the Kingdom good news and to make disciples of Jesus Christ. Instead of only seeking blessings for yourself, we all should focus on ministering to God's needs and giving Him what He benefits from. We also need to obediently carry out his will and serve others in his name, as Jesus taught However, ministering to God and Jesus Christ is a skill that requires cultivation, consciousness, and commitment, as it is the foundation of true spiritual authority. Read Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, through the compassions of God, To present your bodies a living holy sacrifice, unto God acceptable,—Your rational divine service; This verse tells us what we need to do: we have to make known by speech and actions one's life as a living sacrifice, offering one's being, actions, and time to God in response to His sacrifice. And in these ways we minister to God and Jesus Christ.

I was severely humbled with adapting to how transportation works here 😭😂 I know how many times I showed up late for interviews because I was battling with Google Maps like someone who never entered a basic geography class or even opened a Google map app back in Nigeria. Sometimes I entered the wrong bus. Sometimes I missed my stop. Sometimes I confidently followed a route only to discover I was heading to another quadrant or Banff entirely 😭 After embarrassing myself enough times, I changed strategy. I started studying bus routes and maps DAYS before any interview like I was preparing for a US Visa. Then on the interview day, I would leave the house almost 3 hours early. Not because the place was far… but because me and “comedy of confusion” had become Bonnie and Clyde 😂 I needed enough time to get lost, panic, recalculate route, enter another bus, and still arrive looking responsible and employable 😭😂 Immigrants will understand this kind of innocent foolery. Nobody tells you, you must figure it out yourself in most cases. 😂

The Secret Of The Prophet: Fellowship III Hebrews 11:5 NASB “By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; and he was not found because God took him up; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God.” Enoch had such a deep fellowship with the Lord that he was translated so he wouldn’t see death. Death is not just the cessation of biological life; it represents poverty, defeat, sickness, failure or destruction. You can walk with the Spirit of God in such an intense fellowship that you enjoy His translational power over failure, poverty, defeat, sickness or any other thing the devil throws at you “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen” (2 Corinthians 13:14). The Greek word for “communion” is “Koinonia.” It expresses a very deep fellowship—a “drinking together” with the Holy Spirit where He transports you from one level of glory to another, and puts you in a place of advantage over everything and every situation. As a child of God, your success in life is based on your walk with the Holy Spirit. Jeremiah 17:7-8 says, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will it cease from yielding fruit.” This Scripture is talking about a life that’s not influenced by circumstances. It means the situation destroying others won’t affect you in any way, because you’re transported above them by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is God’s plan for His children, and for you to experience such translational power in your life, you must walk very closely with the Holy Spirit. That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 John 1:3). Without fellowship, nothing you do on earth is esteemed in Heaven. That’s why the highest and most important purpose of Christ in the plan of salvation is the call to fellowship, bringing us into fellowship with God. It’s not enough that you’re born again; what God really wants is fellowship with you. That’s the purpose of the New Birth. You can love your two-year old child very much, but you can’t have real fellowship with him or her. Real fellowship entails communication—sharing, talking at higher levels where you understand each other and exchange thoughts. This is the kind of fellowship God has called us into. When John said, “…that ye also may have fellowship with us…,” he wasn’t talking about conversion from a certain religion to Christianity; it’s a declaration of truth. We’ve been called into partnership and togetherness with Deity. It’s the fellowship of the God-kind, a oneness of spirit. Hallelujah! The Bible says, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9). We’re in union with Jesus Christ. Romans 8:16-17 explains it further. It says, “The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and JOINT-HEIRS WITH CHRIST….” The underlined portion shows the kind of union we have with Him: He brought us to the same level as Himself. This is mind-blowing. But you see, you can’t function at that high level of oneness and fellowship except through the Holy Spirit. Your desire should be to fellowship more with the Holy Spirit every day. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen (2 Corinthians 13:14). Your highest calling as a Christian is fellowship with the Lord. Without fellowship, nothing you do on earth is esteemed in Heaven. To fellowship with Jesus is to fellowship with the fullest revelation of the essence of deity. But you see, you can’t fellowship with Him except through the Holy Spirit. That’s why I often wonder why some people think they don’t need the Holy Spirit. There’s nothing more void than a life without the Holy Spirit, because He’s the author of life. Without Him, all you have will be darkness. He’s the One who gives you light and quickens the Word of God in your heart. God’s Word won’t mean anything to you without the insight and revelation the Holy Spirit gives. The Bible says His words are life to those who find them (Proverbs 4:22); and the way to find them is through the Holy Spirit. Your desire should be to fellowship more with the Holy Spirit every day; I mean, fellowship with participation, where you’re actively engaged with Him in a romance of righteousness. The glorious thing about this is that, for all the successes that you achieve through the guidance and wisdom you receive as you fellowship with Him, He gives you the credit. Another beautiful impact of your fellowship with Him is that you become so mingled with Him that your body becomes His body; your tongue becomes His tongue, your hands, His hands, and your feet, His feet. Hallelujah! For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us (Ephesians 2:14). The Lord Jesus came to bring us into fellowship with God. He came to establish an intimate relationship—a oneness between God and man so that man can truly know God; and He achieved it. In Christ Jesus, we were given eternal life; the life and nature of God was imparted to our spirits. He said in John 10:10 NIV, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” The Christ-life in its fullness is what you received when you received Jesus as Lord of your life. The Bible says in Colossians 3:4, “Christ is our life”; He’s the life of the one who’s born again. What a Gospel! This is what He wants us to preach and teach around the world. He said in Mark 16:15, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” He wants us to let the world know that a relationship with Almighty God is possible; righteousness is possible and available. All it takes is to believe: “…whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:15). Hallelujah! Jesus died for our sins, but He rose triumphantly from the dead after three days. His death settled the charges against us, but it didn’t make us one with God. It was His resurrection that gave us eternal life and brought us into oneness with God. Now, Jesus Christ isn’t only the Lord of your life but also one in and by whom you’ve found rich and deep fellowship: “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ” (1 John 1:3). 1 Corinthians 1:9 says, _*“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.”*_ This is what God had always wanted with man: fellowship! Jesus made it a reality. Hallelujah!

The "Praying Wife" Deceit! There is nothing as unscriptural as the belief held by many Christian circles that a "praying wife" and or a "praying mother" is essential for the success of the husband or the children. American Pentecostalism had always sold certain individuals' experiences within the context of religion as the "new thing" that everybody must buy or key into in order to make it in life. Capitalism's influence on true spirituality sold performative religious rites as the norm rather than the exception. Intercessory prayer is valid and acceptable as a form of prayer that believers must engage in, but in true Christianity, an arrangement where the wife is forever on her knees while her husband barely knows the Lord is not acceptable as a form of worship. An arrangement where the mother is praying fervently while the children are living a life of little or no regard to God is not the arrangement Jesus gave his life for. Job made sacrifices for his children daily, but the devil still killed them like flies. He didn't train the children to make sacrifices for themselves and know God for themselves. The responsibility for any relationship lies in the hands of the two people who are in a relationship and not on a third party. Imagine that you introduce a young man to a young lady, but neither of them shows any interest, and you, as the third party had to beg, pray, force, cajole, manipulate, convince, throw tantrums, negotiate, cry, and plead on behalf of one party so that the other party can be patient and wait and bless or be warm to the party. How do you think that kind of a relationship will fare? Mothers who didn't raise their children properly end up having crooks for children. To compensate for this, they end up taking up religion to pray and plead on behalf of their children in the place of prayer. Carmela Corleone, the wife of Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather, was a classic example of this. A mother who raised her children properly would only bless them as they walk with God, and her children shall give her peace and become successful in all their endeavours. Salvation is a personal thing, and having a relationship with God is a very personal thing. A father's faith cannot grant salvation to the son, a mother's salvation does not cover her children, and a wife's devotion does not count for her husband. Again, A father, mother, or wife can intercede in the place of prayer for a loved one. Intercession could buy time, delay evil from befalling the individual, cause the person to be favoured to get a job, a contract, or a visa, but these are temporary fixes. What God desires is to have a relationship with every one of us without any form of intermediary or proxy "standing in the Gap". God does not want that GAP to exist at all. All those standing in it are occupying an office that should not exist for that purpose. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that WHOSOEVER believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life. Faith is a personal thing. I have come across many men who say, "My wife is a prayer warrior; she is the one praying for me to succeed, and her prayers are effective over my destiny." They say this when things are going well for them. When things go sour for them in their career or business, they lash out at their wives, "Your mates are praying for their husbands, you are here pressing your phone. What is God saying? Tell me what the pastor said, pray that I get this contract, and I will buy you a car, etc." I have seen wives who claim that it is their prayer that made their husband successful. This claim is a fallacy! The first woman I know who made the claim was very fervent in the place of prayer. Her husband was an average person until he got an opportunity to travel to the USA. When he got to the USA, he married another wife, and his wife in Nigeria stopped praying for him out of anger over being betrayed. The man became richer and richer. The more the man became successful, the more this woman became bitter and resentful. She felt God ought to stop blessing the man, but it didn't work that way, and the man was not a believer. I see many people writing erroneously that their wives are their spiritual backbone! This is foolishness! Nobody can be another person's spiritual backbone! Ignorance makes people claim things that are not real as real, even though there is no scriptural backing for such. I have seen wives who claimed that when they stopped praying for their husbands, he stopped prospering. I have seen mothers who claimed that when they stopped praying for their children, they stopped prospering. When I investigated the claim, it was a lie. God did not put anybody's right to prosper in the hands of a third party. Your destiny is in your own hands! If a wife's duty is to pray for her husband to succeed in life, then the man should marry many wives so that he can have a harem of prayer warriors lifting him up spiritually every day. Isn't that ridiculous? Where we ought to train, we shouldn't pray! Parents must establish their children in a relationship with God (Not religion), and Spouses should establish their other halves in a relationship with God (Not religion). Everybody must know God for themselves. How can a man be expected to give an account of his life before God when his wife or his mother is the one who has been in charge of his spiritual well-being? It is good to have a supportive spouse who prays with you and prays for you out of love, but this prayer is not to be taken as a substitute for the spouse having a relationship with God himself or herself. I met a lawyer recently who was an orphan until she met this twenty-five years old man at the University of Ibadan at the age of 17. She said she needed a mentor at the time, and he was in his final year and a member of the Christian fellowship she was attending. He took an interest in her, and she leaned on him. He graduated and kept in touch while she continued to study with the aid of a scholarship. He didn't get a job after graduation and had to move back to his parents' house She crowdfunded for law school and became successful through her hard work, grit, and relationship with God She got a job, rented an apartment, and started building her career. This man, who started sleeping with her when she was nineteen, moved in with her. She started feeding him and providing for him. He told her she was his ministry God had called him to be her personal spiritual backing, and without his prayer, she wouldn't have become as successful as she was. This lady wrote to me asking if a born-again Christian who has a relationship with God needed God to give her such a man whose sole job was to pray for her while she makes the money and splits her earnings with him She is very intelligent, but sometimes intelligence bows to manipulation without the right perspective. Many Christians like her are suffering from the lies of prophets, pastors, spiritualists, marabouts, and spouses who convinced them that their relationship with God is inadequate in itself. "If not for my prayer and spiritual backing for you, you would not be this successful." This is manipulation at its best. She was able to break free of him, and she is flying higher and higher daily in Christ today. You have an audience of ONE I have an audience of ONE. My walk with God is personal Your walk with God is personal I have a relationship with God You have a relationship with God This is what true Christianity is: a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. -GSW-

Change Responds To The Fierceness Of Your Desire …The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working] (James 5:16 AMPC). Any kind of positive change you might desire is possible in the Name of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit. Looking through the Scriptures, you’d find examples of people who were desperate for a change and what they did. You too can learn what they learnt, act as they did and get what they got. Take Hannah, for example. For many years, she remained childless until she decided she must have a miracle. She went into the house of the Lord, fell on her face before God, and prayed, made a vow, and prevailed. How compelled are you to change your financial status? How compelled are you to change your health situation? How compelling is your desire to move to the next level and experience the supernatural in your daily walk, in your ministry, academics, business or career? Success and progress in any area require very simple and basic principles. One of such is a strong, compelling desire. Let your desire be strong enough to compel you to take the right and necessary actions. In Mark 5:25-29, we see another striking example of an actualised desire for change. It’s the account of the woman with the issue of blood who, having suffered for twelve long years, made up her mind to receive a miracle. Compelled by her desire, she pressed through an impossible crowd to get to Jesus, defying the injunction that forbade her from having physical contact with other people. The haemorrhage she suffered made her ceremonially unclean; therefore, she stood the risk of being stoned to death if found in public, following the Jewish law of the day (Leviticus 15:25-27). However, her desire for freedom, for her healing, compelled her to act on her faith and she got a miracle. In Mark 9:23, Jesus said, “…all things are possible to him that believeth.” So, it makes no difference where you are in your life today; anything is possible. Act on God’s Word. Act your faith and be absolute about the result that you want, and it shall be so. When she had heard of Jesus, she came in the press behind and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole (Mark 5:27-28). The Bible tells us of the woman with the issue of blood who, having suffered for twelve long years, made up her mind to receive a miracle. Compelled by her desire, she pressed through a huge crowd to get to Jesus, defying the injunction that forbade her from having physical contact with other people. According to the custom of the Jews, the haemorrhage she suffered made her unclean; therefore, she stood the risk of being stoned to death if found in public, let alone touching other people. Her desire for freedom, for her healing, pushed her to brave the odds (Mark 5:24-29). Likewise, until Hannah became desperate for a child and made up her mind for a miracle, nothing happened. For many years, she maintained the status quo until she decided she must have a miracle. She went into the house of the Lord, fell on her face before God, and prayed until she prevailed. How strong is your desire to change your financial status? How strong is your desire to change your health status? How compelling is your desire to move to the next level? How strong is your desire to experience the supernatural in your spiritual life, in your ministry, in your academics, business or career? We all want to see growth and make progress; every one of us wants to heap success upon success, but not many are ready to brave the odds and do the needful. Growth in any area requires very simple and basic principles that aren’t negotiable. One of such is a strong, compelling desire. Let your desire be strong enough to compel you to take the right and necessary actions. God is not at all perturbed when you’re faced with unpleasant situations. In fact, He is happy to see you face those challenges because He knows you’ll surely come out victorious. He knows you can change any situation, for the divine power necessary to effect that change is already resident in you; it was deposited in you the moment you received the Holy Spirit into your life. Like a mother who expectantly watches her toddler take his first few unstable steps on his own, though he falls a few times, she is not flustered. Rather, she prods him on and showers him with love. That’s the same way the Lord watches to see us overcome whatever challenges we face in our lives. He waits with expectation and confidence, knowing that you have all it takes to win. You may have been tested and told that you’re barren or perhaps diagnosed with an incurable disease. Maybe it’s been a long time since you graduated from school, and you still don’t have a job or a business; God is waiting to see you effect a change NOW. He knows you can. He believes in you because He’s given you all that’s required – the dynamic, miracle-working ability. So put it to work. Stand firm and declare boldly in faith what you desire and watch the miracle you need unfold before you. God is able to “…do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20). It means whatever God will do in your life is to the extent of the operation of that power in you. Recognize that you have arrived in the place of change and God doesn’t want you crying out to Him for help. He wants to see you live triumphantly over every crisis. That’s what earns you promotion to a higher level spiritually, for the Father honours His children for their triumph of faith. Your spiritual promotions are based on these conquests.

About five years ago, I had a fight with my elder brother that left me badly injured. I fell, and blood poured from my nose and ears. I was rushed to the the hospital and the doctors discovered I had brain damage. Surgery was the immediate solution, but my parents couldn’t afford it. Instead, I was told to manage it with medication and strict instructions like no noise, no heavy lifting, no stress, not even too much thinking. But as I grew older, life demanded more of me. I had to think, I had to use my mind, and the bleeding became frequent. It also came with a terrible migraine. Every day and night, I have lived with the pain. My parents and I tried to raise money for the surgery, hoping to do it next year, but deep down I was afraid. I am afraid of hospitals, afraid of surgery, afraid of undergoing a surgery at such a young age. I carried that burden with me into The Flight. During the prayers, a lady hugged me, and I broke down in tears. I had never cried like that before. There and there, the lady said that God was ready to take away the burden from my shoulders and I will be free. I told God that the burden was the pain in my head and I needed Him to take it away. After that, another lady came and touched my stomach and spoke words of comfort that God had heard me, that He would remove every darkness from my life. I believed. Around that time, I heard someone speak about God healing us from unbelief. I tapped into it immediately, repeating over and over: Father, I believe. When you made the altar call for those with brain conditions, I knew it was for me. I stepped forward. Then, one of the ministers came to pray for me. All I could see were clouds, as though I was no longer on the ground. I saw a figure clothed in very clean white dress with hair like wool. It felt like a hospital scene in the movies. I was on a bed but this time, it wasn’t fear. It was healing. When I came back to myself, the headache was gone. Right now, I’m lying on my bed after a long day, I expected the usual bleeding, the pain, the foggy sight. But there is nothing. No blood. No headache. No darkness. Just peace. For the first time in years, I feel good. Like, I’m good. And I know it can only be Jesus. And I believe that it is gone and gone forever! Thank You, Jesus. I believe!

She: In 2022, I told my older sister of my intention to introduce my intended to my mother. She said I should not try it because my mother had prevented my two older sister’s marriages by throwing tantrums and sabotaging every effort until the men left them. I laughed. I went home and told my mum I wanted to bring home my man. She said I was a child and I will not be getting married before my sisters. I said “You will sleep, I will pour petrol all over this house and burn you alive. They already told me you are a witch who is determined to stop your children from getting married so that you won’t have grandchildren. I am determined to kill anyone who stands in my path! Look into my eyes; I am not my sisters. I am getting married. I have bought your clothes and shoes and invited all the relevant people for the occasion. You will dress up and play your part or you will die. I will not pray for your death I will kill you and kill myself so that those coming behind me and my elders can be free.” Wedding day came, my mother was at the forefront of all activities. She danced and ate and even cracked jokes Till tomorrow, I am the only daughter of hers out of five that is married. The others have tried and she had insisted they will not get married as long as she is alive!!!
