I am officially denouncing my role in Co-RotyFC after the slander Cooper received for scoring 96 in a 2-game span. I want no part of KonFC or to be associated with the disrespect and lack of ball-knowledge therein. Remember, spreadsheets don’t win championships.

Kon’s averaging a measly 16 ppg on 43% shooting. Coop meanwhile is putting up All-Star numbers since the break. There’s levels to this. Say what you want but Coop is the Rookie of the Year. Fuck the affects winning argument, most winners of the award came from non-playoff teams.

The Hornets aren't the Hornets without Kon. Spacing wise, defensively, passing. As much as it is Melo and BMill cooking, they were 7-13 when healthy last year, so obviously there is a missing link. Thats Kon's impact

@duke_central Last year Duke basically lost in the final 4 due to “older” players failing to inbound the ball.

All 5 Michigan starters are transfers. They bring maturity and experience, and that shows up in composure, decision-making, and winning under pressure. Duke needs to get older. Experience wins in March.

The narrative that Kon Knueppel "impacts winning" as a prop for the ROTY race should not be accepted without contention. The Hornets are a powerhouse team with LaMelo and Brandon Miller on the floor. Take a look at Knueppel's 6 worst performances and the point differential between the teams: Kon - 8 points / 33.3 FG% CHA vs BKN - 31pt win Kon - 9 points / 33.3 FG% MEM vs CHA - 23pt win Kon - 10 points / 36.4 FG% POR vs CHA - 16pt win Kon - 11 points / 28.6 FG% CHA vs MIN - 14pt win Kon - 13 pts / 42.9 FG% DAL vs CHA 27pt win Kon - 14 pts / 41.7 FG% SAC vs CHA 44pt win I am by no means attacking Kon Knueppel as a player, or criticizing these performances. However, they are still blowing teams out when he does not perform. He certainly adds value to games when he is hot, but his production is not essential to the winning of the team. I do know, if/when Cooper Flagg has an off-night, there is 0 chance that the Mavs are winning. We've only won 25 games, but without Cooper, I'm not sure if we could have won 10. @MrChrisArnold Understand this. Kon is never gonna get as many shots as Coop on a better team. Coop is getting 30 shots. Efficiency means when Kon does he makes his shots or makes good decisions.

@dynamic_voltage @qshironalberti3 @WolstatSun Look at the games he has played in April. He has at least 2-3 games scoring 20 points or more. Also, check some of Coops games in the past. There is a reason why he is averaging only 2 more points per game on high volume shooting. The team is feeding him.

I still think overall, Knueppel has had the way better season. Flagg will likely be a better player long-term, but I’d have a hard time voting him for ROY over Knueppel’s historic year which includes reviving the hapless Hornets.

@qshironalberti3 @WolstatSun I have been watching for years. Kon is the difference in the team losing and winning. He helped change the culture. There is a reason it who had the best year. Not the best player.

@WolstatSun if you think Knueppel is the reviver of the Hornets that means you aren't really watching. he's a great piece of the puzzle that helps unlock what they're doing but he hasn't had to shoulder nearly as much as Flagg
