@TMTLongShort Curious - isnt “party in power bribes to stay in power” standard practice, just usually unsuccessful and flips anyway? Dont disagree, but wondering what is fundamentally different in this case.

Let the record show that I anticipate a red wave in the upcoming midterms as bribes are coming and voters in America really only care about how rich they feel. Polling doesn’t reflect this currently but will fairly soon as tax refunds and then bribes hit checking accounts. x.com/goodalexander/…

@alyssaleann Consistently make good decisions until you are trusted with decisions large enough such that the difference between good and bad ones is >> $750k in value. Its simple, but not easy.

Few realize that we have entered a new age of warfare, where we are both the target and the weapon. Think logically- if its cheaper for an enemy to inflict damage via social disorder than by air raids then thats what we should expect. We have allowed ourselves to become too confused by our imagined intentions of our fellow countrymen. If someone is acting as if they are our enemy, or their tools - then they are - whether they know it internally or not. Plausible deniability is their armor. Its more akin to a cyber attack, where we are the infected machines. It is critical that we realize this and act accordingly before it’s too late.

for the past two decades, somehow the mainstream media (and the school system) have been trying to convince people that what’s normal is evil and perverted, and what’s perverted and evil is normal I understand the how, I understand the who. I still cannot understand the why. like, what’s the end goal? because the only logical outcome is civilizational collapse and I genuinely don’t see who benefits from that

@jeremykauffman Desire to reproduce is a trait like others that aid in survival and reproduction. If it’s better that people with certain traits don’t reproduce, it may also be better for people with weak desire to not either.

It took millennia of evolution to make you. Even among humans, your abilities are rare. You are a crystal, produced by an immense evolutionary crucible. You are not obligated to reproduce, but failure means the negentropy stored in your genetic line turns to ash. That is sad.

@RokoMijic I imagine future high success societies will have to be networks of people operating among the rest, vs distinctly separated by geographic borders. Movement has become so easy for nearly everyone, and I don’t see that trend reversing long term.

I'm generally a staunch defender of the economics profession but the fact that an 80 year old reality show star and his ragtag crew of like 5 alabama university undergrads are running circles around 10 thousand PhDs for a year now does raise some questions one cannot ignore

for anyone who cares to understand how absurd this is: a) it's stock shares. he owns a company, he runs it well, the value of the stock goes up, and thus his net worth goes up. it's not money that's ever been spent or realized. it's hypothetical money. b) the US federal government spends as much in one year as all the billionaires in the US have in net worth combined. if the gov't were to tax all of their wealth, somehow convert it to that amount of money (not technically possible b/c of supply & demand stuff, but let's pretend it is), and then use it to cover their spending, they'd be out in one year, and there'd be no billionaires left to tax the following year. if you want to be angry at an entity for syphoning off all of our wealth, be mad at the government. c) if elon actually WAS sitting on a giant pile of money, which he is not, it would be good for you. it would mean that he is providing a lot of value to people, since they are voluntarily buying his products and services, and then he's not turning around and using it to buy up resources that the rest of us might want. in effect, sitting on a giant pile of money is deflationary and lowers prices for the rest of us. you can't eat money or use it to build anything. you can only exchange it. by contrast, if you circle back to b), the gov't is actually spending way more money than this every year, and it's mostly on shit no one likes.

“Theres no reason for one person to control that much wealth” He has 400B now bc when he had 200B, he continued to work, and generated enormous additional wealth for everyone involved. So they voluntarily invested more. Some people destroy the wealth they control, and end up with less. Im glad I live in a system that incentivizes creation.

Democrats Posted This Chart to Embarrass Trump—But It Completely Blew Up in Their Faces The @Democrats account on X thought they had a slam dunk, posting “Trump’s America” alongside this chart. But look closely… because what it actually shows completely destroys what they were trying to prove. It backfired instantly. The comments are a total bloodbath. 🧵 THREAD

The truth is that Three Body Problem is physics slop. Nothing it says is at all realistic. Someone could have written a realistic book on the subject of interstellar colonization and warfare, but Three Body Problem just ain't it.

I've been getting into the Three Body Problem universe and Dark Forest theory. It's unbelievably stupid. Completely unrealistic, bad game theory and silly physics. But people really do seem to take it seriously? It seems like it needs debunking...

The more risky a loan is, the higher the interest rate needs to be to make it worth it for the lender. You cant repossess someones education, all doctors graduating with negative 6-fig net worths could just discharge it, so loan rates would have to skyrocket. (I assume the retort would be to shift the scam onto the unwilling taxpayer)

@unusual_whales The real fix is to make student loans dis-chargeable via bankruptcy the same as any other loan. The borrower and the lender should both take their lumps and learn a valuable lesson here.

NEW: Leftist arrested after drawing a swastika on a Cybertruck belonging to a Jewish man in NYC. The man saw the Cybertruck, got out of his Subaru & then drew the swastika. He fled the scene without his car & came back an hour later where police were waiting. The people carving swastikas on vehicles owned by Jewish people want you to think that you are the Nazis.
