@MogelKaiser161@autocar The rear makes it look like the real Ferrari is hiding inside. It looks crap, even with the bottom of the car in black to shrink the size the height of the car to the waistline is huge.
One thing that REALLY gets on my goat is the UK police force buying foreign cars. There are around 40,000 police vehicles on the road and the majority of them are built abroad! That’s approx £1.2bn going off-shore if they’re replaced every 3 years. It’s only a matter of time until we have BYD police cars… If I was in charge of the country the first thing I’d do is mandate that all UK emergency services must buy vehicles built in Britain. 🇬🇧 I mean how obvious is that to help our own economy, job market and above all pride?

@TheStingisBack You need to look for and download Project 4K77. The original theatre release of Star Wars from as close to the original film as they could get in 4K. Has the original mono soundtrack or the AC3 from the Laserdisc release
Star Wars is 49 today
One of the biggest gripes with George Lucas tinkering with the original trilogy: removing Han shooting first, an action that instantly defines him as the scoundrel we love
I tracked down the original cut, and here it is. Balance restored. Thanks, George.
@AvonandsomerRob Looks like what it is, a VW ID4 rebodied with a design heavily influenced by Polestar!
It may be a good car, but it is over priced new and the dimensions look off for me.
Electric vehicle sales are exploding in the UK due to a clever marketing ploy by manufacturers.
They are bringing back all the discontinued car names, and making them electric.
How do you rate Ford's attempt at the new Capri EV?
@karlmac1@ListerLawrence Depends on the force. Used to use Mark 2 & S Types in the 50s & 60s and used to use Range Rovers too. But that was the decision that was taken
@Earthdweller12@ListerLawrence Much higher residuals definitely. I think it depends a bit on their use. Dealt with fleet & traffic quite a bit, for their use that's what they preferred and didn't break. Not an issue now as thanks to the N57 engine fault BMW pulled out. Be interesting to see if they come back.
@F19ADH@ListerLawrence What drivers prefer is irrelevant. T5's were knackered, plagued with electrical problems at 100k, did 10mpg ate clutch's and front tyres and service every 5k. 530d did 200k, 30mpg (on cheaper fuel ) and service 10k plus much higher residual value
@Earthdweller12@ListerLawrence The BMWs are built for LHD as such the pedals and steering wheel are not in the right position for RHD. Not in a police car, last 530d I drove for 2 weeks my back was shot. Some folk much more aware of it than others.
@F19ADH@ListerLawrence The 530d auto was far better than the XF across all parameters. Drove both never heard any complaints about wheels/pedals in the BMW's
@Earthdweller12@ListerLawrence As it turns out the BMWs weren't all they were cracked up to be with regards the N57 fault. This particular force the traffic officers preferred the V70 to the 5 series as the BMW were easier to break. (3)
@F19ADH@ListerLawrence BMW did VERY favourable deals through BMW authorities. They were way cheaper than the Jag
Much cheaper to run, repair/service. Reliability and with much better res value and BMW gave forces dealer access for servicing
It wasn't optics .. BMW was better on all parameters
@Earthdweller12@ListerLawrence They weren't and I'm not talking from a position of ignorance with regards this, quite the opposite. All manufacturers did good deals, most of the cars were bought at the price dealers buy it for minus any VAT which they didn't pay. (1)
Great interview from @PaulONeill29 with @AidenMoffat16 😆😆
Genuinely laughing at that one. Good answers about the car & how it's going, no PR talk & personality coming over well. Definitely a double act there!
Why is TNT insisting on calling this Roland Garros, instead of the French Open? Did I miss something? Is there some kind of rebranding or something going on I wasn’t aware of?
@Brynbikes@Timoldland Yes, me. Don't get me wrong I love any F Type & have driven them on track, I do prefer the facelift. It may have something to do with being on my 2nd XE which has a similar face so I'm very used to it.
Just in case you weren’t feeling like an old decrepit sack of shit - the F-Type facelift below came out SEVEN FUCKING YEARS AGO.
Can’t just be me who honestly thought they’d been out 3 or 4yrs max?
