Fun fact for the $10 billion lawsuit crowd.
The IRS leak that exposed Donald Trump’s tax returns happened between August 2019 and November 2020.
405,427 other taxpayer returns were also leaked.
Trump was president. His own pick, Charles Rettig, ran the IRS. The contractor who did it, Charles Littlejohn, worked on a Trump-era IRS contract and is now serving five years in federal prison.
On January 29, 2026, Trump sued the IRS and Treasury for $10 billion over a breach that happened on his watch, under his commissioner, by a contractor his administration paid.
He is suing the federal government he ran, for failing to stop a leak that occurred while he was running it.
The taxpayer foots the bill either way.

Like many of you, this is the first I've learned of InterMiami's/MLS's scheme of soliciting bids from other teams re: where, when, & if they play IM. This, plus the various odors that've been seeping out of the club esp this season make me miss investigative sports journalism.

Lionel Messi spent 17 years at Camp Nou, rewriting the history of futbol. Do you know how many times he did a lap of honor or spent ten minutes clapping at the stands after a random league match? Almost never. He put his head down, and went straight to the tunnel. And Barcelona fans never complained because they knew the respect was paid on the field with greatness.
What we saw at Nu Stadium isn't a lack of respect from the players; it's a culture clash. The supporters' groups want that intimate, old-school MLS connection, but they are dealing with different types of players here. While I agree that clapping at the SS is the least most players can do, I also feel like it might unrealistic to expect that from these players.
