That practice start was pure cinema. Colapinto half-bins it before even making the grid, 4 drivers go into anti-stall when the lights go out, and Colapinto has to park it because he cooked the engine. #F1Testing #F1

@43FrankAlexWlms He stalled when the lights went out and overrevved the engine trying to start it. Simply. He was able to park in his grid slot… albeit with a field’s worth of grass on his tyres and a bruised ego.

@F1Complaints Colapinto did his burnouts as required coming into his grid spot and despite a last minute moment was able to perfectly place his car in it's grid spot. On green light, Franco had to for the car ahead. Approaching T1 his car went into antistall mode. It's testing, not lying time.

@Mikk_MV33 @P3p3ra Poor Lewis is in a tractor he cannot do nothing bc his contract ends in 2027 so far. All year its under P10 apart from that one singular sprint he did quite well on. Leclerc has been doing better though ngl but he is first/main driver and Lewis is secondary i think.

Yes indeed. Norris - race win thrown away in T1 Kimi - likely the best car this weekend, poor quali, creeping start penalty that relegated him to rear gunner, given the best strategy on the grid with the H Tyre proving capable of pushing a whole race distance… yet finishes behind his teammate’s broken car and doesn’t clear the slower Piastri to negate the 5s penalty. A messy stinker in what could’ve been a race-win challenge.

Awful races today from Antonelli, Norris, and Piastri. Kimi continues to be miles adrift of his teammate in what was a race-win competing car without the steering issue. Yet another great race from Max. Really solid job by George to manage it home. Really good race from Leclerc. Lots of trundling around in the midfield. All in all, a pretty boring one, but there’s only a few left for the year so you have to enjoy them while they last.
