📻 | Lewis Hamilton: “That was such a good lap!” 📻 | Santi: “Yep. One tenth faster first sector. One tenth slower second sector and half a second slower last sector. We are P2, Charles P1. Basically same time.” 📻 | Lewis Hamilton: “Yea, I think I can go quicker. There might not be another lap in these tyres but we’ll see.”

@PolePositionist On the onboard he said it was a bad lap, he had a couple of massive snaps at t2 and t13 due to traffic. Onboard was facing backwards for the 2nd lap, but look much tidier and I think the softs lose a lot of pace after one lap, so definitely a lot more potential.

The H2H (Head-to-Head) metric is used to calculate how many times a driver has outperformed their team-mate, whilst seeking to eliminate external factors that might skew the comparison. Unlike official statistics, this system is not based solely on the final result of the session. Instead, each session is analysed individually, taking into account the different circumstances and situations experienced by both drivers throughout the weekend. All external factors such as poor pit stops, mechanical failures, strategic disadvantages, damage, traffic, qualifying sessions compromised by external circumstances or any other relevant incident are carefully reviewed in order to provide the fairest and most representative comparison possible. In the event that external factors are present but there is prior evidence that one driver has performed better than their teammate, the duel will be deemed valid. A grey X indicates that there is insufficient data to provide a reliable comparison. A yellow X means that there is sufficient data, but the duel is considered too close to call, and is therefore classified as a draw.

@evered7 I never said he was sacrificed just said he had to slow down, which is a fact as I watched it with my own eyes lol. All I care about is how strong his pace was even with the damage, and that he will get the results he deserves in the next few races x

@F1Lewis_44 All that matters is Leclerc had 3.3 lead before VSC nonsense by your own admission. Plenty enough to be serviced by Ferrari and for Hamilton to serve his penalty, get serviced, knock down a mechanic, resume his race. He wasn't sacrificed for CL in this race unlike Monaco for CL.

Did you even watch the race? Hamilton was more than 5 seconds behind Leclerc before VSC was in place. CL pulled away before LH was even in line with the crew.

@evered7 If you knew anything about F1 you’d know the gaps fluctuate quite a lot under the VSC, depending on which mini sector they’re in, so taking a gap in the middle of a VSC isn’t representative at all.

@F1Lewis_44 Last post from my end. This is little before they enter the pits. He's more than 5 seconds behind already. If he did slow by himself, it's on him. Not on Ferrari or Leclerc. Team didn't sacrifice him for CL. Which is what the OP originally said.

@evered7 He was 3.3 as the VSC come out. He literally stopped by pit entry as he wasn’t sure whether to come in, and then slowed down way before the pit box and waited for Leclerc to leave the box. I literally watched it happen. It’s also so irrelevant. Only thing that matters is his pace

@F1Lewis_44 He was 5s behind before CL pit. You make up your own theories without any proof. VSC was on, so he's going to be slow obviously. And if he did slow down, then he was being silly since he had plenty of time relative to CL. Whatever happened in Spa was entirely his own doing.

@evered7 He was delayed though. I was watching the onboard, he entered the pits much slower than usual, and then backed off way before the pit box so he could roll into the box as Charles left, rather than having to stop and wait stationary.

@F1Lewis_44 This is a little after VSC ended. He was 12 seconds behind Leclerc. I was responding to the OP claiming LH was delayed because of CL. Which wasn't the case as seen in the pics I've posted.

@mohitsilky @FormulaPace My point was if he only actually lost 5 seconds maximum on track, how could he have been 2 tenths a lap slower. Especially as Lewis lost more time battling and in dirty air.

Lewis lost at least 10 points worth of downforce through damage which assuming 0.3s a lap is 13 seconds, plus the 12 seconds he lost in pits with the double stack, pen, and slow stop that’s at least 25 seconds. Pace was there for the race win today so frustrating #F1 #skysportsf1

@ScuderiaBuckeye @TrackSimsF1 I said he looks like he wouldve been pretty close to Charles by the end. I never said he would’ve won. Just pointing out he had much better pace than the 1st stint after adding 5 clicks to the front wing to get rid of the understeeer. The 20s is nowhere near a true representation

@ScuderiaBuckeye @TrackSimsF1 Without the penalty he comes out less than 8 seconds behind in clean air, and likely has stronger pace than Charles in the 2nd stint. Was matching/quicker than him once he finally got clean air, even after stressing his tyres fighting George and Max for like 15 laps.

@16Akshith @TrackSimsF1 He would be managing the tyres whilst trying to go as fast as possible like everyone else. If he had a massive gap and was easily going to win and then backed off that would be a different story.
