SORT-A-THON 2023 IS HERE! ♻️ Sign-ups are live: fabscrap.org/donate ! You can sign up to sort in 2-hour blocks (we recommend no more than 3 consecutive blocks). And as a thank you for your time, volunteers are able to take home 3 pounds of FREE fabric for every 2-hour block!

we ran the numbers 🤓 Last year the FABSCRAP team diverted AND redistributed 93,830 pounds of textiles for reuse! Instead of being sent to landfill, these fabrics ended up in the hands of creatives like yourself who could extend their life!

This month we're highlighting our repeat volunteer group @FreePeople for coming to help sort at our Philadelphia Warehouse earlier this month! These FAB sorters already have their next 4 sessions set on the calendar and we’re looking forward to seeing them back soon as April 💚

More fabrics just in time for #NationalFlannelDay 😍 Flannel was first invented as a warmer, more durable fabric. It has traditionally been used in workwear, but is now a fashion staple. Let us know in the comments if there are other fabrics you’d want to learn more about?

Why is reuse FAB? We’ve run the numbers according to the CO2 calculation provided by the Journel of Textile Science and Engineering saving 10 lbs of fabric from landfill has the same CO2-reducing benefits as planting a tree! 🤓🌱
