Overgrown, trash-strewn vacant lots attract crime, increase fear, and hinder neighborhood relationships. Fortunately, engaging youth in greening (i.e., mowing, landscaping, repurposing) vacant lots can prevent violence and create safer, more connected communities.

Honored to present our research on the mental health consequences of pediatric firearm injuries at the #FactsSymposium today. Also feeling like I've finally "made it" by serving on a panel alongside my @muscphm PD @AnnieAndrewsMD 😆

“Data! Data! Data! I can’t build bricks without clay.” Like Sherlock Holmes advised, we can’t build the house of firearm injury prevention without the best available data. Thanks to @johnkroman & team for sharing a blueprint for a quality data infrastructure to guide prevention
