@ACTA_Alberta (ACTA) will become the College of Counselling Therapy of Alberta, where the professions of Counselling Therapist, Addictions Counsellor, & Child and Youth Care Counsellor will become protected titles when the College is proclaimed. acta-alberta.ca

Yesterday, @shoffmanAB introduced legislation that would create a new College of Counselling Therapy to regulate counselling professionals. This will ensure that Albertans are seeking help from qualified professionals & receive safe & effective counselling services. #regulation

For too long, Albertans looking for a therapist or private substance-use treatment facility have been left to figure it out on their own. Today I introduced legislation that would take away the guesswork, helping families get the safe, competent care they need with peace of mind.
