Alhamdulillah, I arrived in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the final ten days of Ramadan, days of immense spiritual significance for us Muslims. These blessed nights remind us of mercy, forgiveness, and renewed devotion, especially as we seek the blessings of Laylatul Qadr. May Allah accept our prayers, strengthen our faith, and continue to grant peace and prosperity to Salone and the entire Ummah.

I was deeply honoured to join the Mandain Youth Wing for Iftar this evening in the company of the Mansa and fellow Ministers. It was a wonderful moment of unity, reflection, and fellowship during this blessed month of Ramadan. I commend the youth for their strong sense of community and commitment to service. May this sacred season continue to inspire peace, compassion, and solidarity among us all.

As a retired military officer, I salute my brothers and sisters in uniform for their unwavering dedication, courage, and sacrifice in service to our nation. The values of discipline, loyalty, and honour remain with us long after active duty. Happy Armed Forces Day to all who serve and have served. 🇸🇱 May we continue to uphold the noble values of honour, integrity, and commitment to peace and national security.

Sierra Leone deepens international transport cooperation at the OIC Transport Ministers’ Conference in Istanbul. I reaffirmed our commitment to modernising transport & aviation, enhancing connectivity, and boosting trade. Held productive talks with my colleague & brother Abdulkadir Uraloğlu and signed an MoU to advance infrastructure and technical partnerships.

Today, I take a moment to celebrate a true friend and brother, @skkoroma Happy Birthday, Learned Senior. Our friendship has stood the test of time, built on mutual respect, loyalty, and shared values even as we support different political parties. For over two decades, we have always been there for each other, and that bond is bigger than politics. Wishing you good health, wisdom, and continued success. May the years ahead be even great

As ADC to former President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, I had the honour of witnessing the signing of the Peace Accord, a defining moment in Sierra Leone’s journey from conflict to peace. It remains a powerful reminder that dialogue and leadership can heal a nation. 🇸🇱

Passenger traffic at FNA rose by 18,323 in 2025 compared to 2024, with increased arrivals and departures. This growth reflects strengthened aviation capacity, higher flight frequencies, improved connectivity, and growing confidence in Sierra Leone.

Honoured to address the 34th IMO Assembly on behalf of Sierra Leone. 🇸🇱 Under the leadership of HE @julius_maadabio reaffirm our commitment to safer seas, stronger maritime governance, and a thriving blue economy.From modernising legislation to adopting the IMO Single Window, strengthening SAR, and pursuing STCW White List status Sierra Leone is moving forward with purpose. We look forward to continued partnership with the IMO and Member States for safer, cleaner and more sustainable oceans. 🌊

Honoured to deliver the keynote address at the Christ the King College Speech Day & Prize-Giving Ceremony. I reminded our young men that education is the engine of national transformation and echoed H.E. President Bio’s words that education is our greatest investment. The future of Sierra Leone is in their hands. 🇸🇱

At #ICAN25, I emphasized that Africa’s air transport future lies in opening our skies, harmonizing regulations, and prioritizing intra-African routes. Sierra Leone commits to full SAATM implementation, BASA reforms, and lower fees to drive traffic growth. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to empowering the next generation of maritime professionals across the region. Today, I take a moment to celebrate a true friend and brother , a revered cardiologist and a genuine patriot. Congratulations, Dr. Russel, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. As a SL, I am truly elated and proud of you, as always. Your selfless dedication and unwavering service to humanity continue to shine and inspire so many. Your sacrifices are not unnoticed, and the rewards are well deserved. May Allah (SWT) bless you with even more success, good health, and countless accolades in the journey ahead. Keep soaring higher, Doctor. The world needs more hearts like yours in every sense of the word.

Today is my birthday 🎂 but duty comes first. Deeply honoured to lead a delegation to the 42nd Session of the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, Canada. HE Bio’s @julius_maadabio appointment of the youngest DG of Civil Aviation in the world @BarrieMusayeroh already bearing fruit. First in the history of SL, she is nominated as Vice-Chairperson of the ICAO Administrative Commission. This significant achievement reflects Sierra Leone’s increasing role in shaping global aviation policy, as Africa takes center stage in ICAO.
